as a die-hard GA fan, i give a lot of that credit over to Xenomania for creating so many bangers for these girls. from Cher's Believe thru the string of albums Brian Higgins curated for the girls, I have been absolutely obsessed. but I will say, I think Brian's downfall was the vocal distribution being SO heavy on Nadine especially in the Chemistry era. Nadine leading Biology for almost the entire first minute of the song, See the Day and Whole Lotta History having Nadine singing the chorus as a solo, and even when this song Watch Me Go was first on tour, this song was so so much Nadine. as I look back on it, Nadine was quite villainized while in GA when really I don't think think it was mostly her fault, she just did what she was given. and so now here, Watch Me Go in 2024. and yet another Chemistry song got rehashed around and it makes WAY more sense as a girl band pop song in this way. See the Day and Whole Lotta History got re-distributed vocally on the Chemistry tour and that worked out SO well and I wish those decisions were made in the recording studio first rather than the tour stage. I am curious if things went about differently, Nadine being less pushed forward vocally, if the decade of GA's reign could have gone a bit longer.
