what was her role in gfl1? I'm curious as to why she's the face of this game

She was just an ordinary side character in GFL1, but some parts of GF1's storyline show that she is one of the oldest T-DOLLs in Griffin. Similar to her are Springfield, M16, and Lee-Enfield (though I'm not too sure, it's been a long time and I can't quite remember). As for why she was chosen by Yuzhong to be the mascot for GFL2, it's currently a mystery, but it can be confirmed that her role as the main character for GFL2 was decided a long time ago, probably around the beginning of the GFL2 project.

@@bakutie "Maybe, but if you look at it from this perspective...the core reason should be that M4A1 turned into a cyber ghost similar to Motoko Kusanagi (or a god). Such a change makes it impossible for her to continue being the protagonist of GFL2. However, if you're talking about a 'mascot,' then the mascot for GFL1 was actually Kar98K (laughs). Of course, strictly speaking, GFL1's story doesn't have a main heroine; many T-DOLLs have their own highlight moments.

Agreed, Klukai has one recently released as well, in the same patch as Belka's halloween one, a stark contrast. I'm glad they're catering to various tastes, I love the military aesthetic of this game so much.
