But yes, the game is grindy af and not in a good way, imo, as for a mobile game. (Too time consuming for a gacha is what I mean)

Dude...they are android girls. They are akin to Terminator against normal human. The important bits are their doll bodies, not the clothes. The only reason they start to wear "tactical gears and armor" here is that they are exiles that lack the funding of G&K to constantly repair/replace high quality bodies that can take hits much better than the current ones. They are on a budget essentially. Or at least that is what I heard of how the creators justify the changes in looks.

In this timeframe, both Kalina and the Commander have the option to leave G&K offered by Kryuger himself. The Commander decides to stay but through bad jokes, ends up hurting Kalina by telling her to go by herself after she declaring to have some sort of dependency of the Commander. Kalina gets her Jimmies rustled, and thinks that Commander is going to leave, leaving her in a state of grieve or sadness and unwilling to communicate with the Commander during the events and missions. In the end, a celebration is taking place, and Commander tries to approach Kalina for the 99nth time. She is still mad and sad, but the Commander finally takes the chance to clarify and apologize to Kalina. It ends up with laughs and smiles, a very heartwarming moment for me tbh. They are not a couple but dang man... THE FEELS! Commander promises Kalina not that he will not lie to her. All good a gucci, right? *_PSYCHE_* The cutscene is cut by a another one of Commander 10 years after those events, reminiscing about the promise he broke, and how he left Kalina, leading her to a great change of her personality, foreshadowing the events of GFL 2. And then I cried and my depression, which I was cured from for about 10 seconds, came back into me as I took a long deep breath.

To me, 1:56 is the most bs scene out of all, like there is no fking way tmp would be able to pull off something like that. It is obvious that she didn’t see the nade being thrown, so how did she know it’s path or even the fact that it’s thrown in the first place? Besides, saying she knew because of the sound of pulling the pin is also bs, the dude’s teammates were covering him and the sounds of gunfire is extremely loud so there is no way she could here that. The entire “shooting a nade while it’s in the air” is absolutely impractical even for a doll, at least in this case, and was probably added solely to flex there animation quality.

Is not always you see proper tactical formations put into use in most animations... Single file movement, Wall hugging, breaching, double man cornering, having an actual last man, double tapping on downed enemies etc etc... Of course, there is also over-exgerated elements, but it is to be expected.
