Well, let's put it this way towards the end of Dual Randomness, when there's a single scene where the Commander and Kalina had split apart close or within a 10 year gap due to promises that couldn't be kept. Considering I've only gotten through to DR's lore, still dont know what happens in First Point/Poincare' Recurrence [dont spoil me please] but we can say that a whoooole bunch of typical GFL shit happened within those 10 years.

So seems PP-90 changed weapon, Welrod now have gun, Vector and TMP seems not changing much, VSK-94 now wear that sexy bodysuit... Women in 2:50 seems DP-12 but I not really sure... Not sure who's the red/pink hair at 2:59 but probably new character... And then we have Groza, UMP 45 and 9, STAR-15, Suomi and Kalina. Also, seems the highway scene chase is a callback for the 1st Trailer that everyone dislike. Its wonderful to see how two years of development do to this game.

Yeah 2d animation is great, doesn't work well with dynamic fight scenes with a lot of people. If it was studio orange instead it could've been... Decent idk, it's really hard to adapt the early parts of girls Frontline to any degree of success and it's to hard to start on the later parts because the continuity is really confusing, overall the best thing about the anime was dreamer bullying destroyer.

My guess is this was made in house by people that know what the fans want compared to what generic anime does good enough. For example compare arcane to the world of warcraft movie. Blizzard made great PV and animations in house yet the company chose to outsource a movie to people that didn't care beyond getting paid.

Im still not completely sold on GFL2 just because the aesthetic is being changed a bit going on (Melee characters, moving from Gun girls to just girls with guns), but man does that PV get my hopes up.

Well she has a gun glove, you can't be picky when ammo is scarce, so might as well pick up a metal bar & beat your enemies to death. I doubt there will be a whole melee class, but there is now riot shields so who knows
