Note to new Kpop fans: THESE are (some of) the ones who paved the way. They had to endure years of racism and sexism just to get their group and Kpop as a genre known in the West, so other groups could come in the future and have success with an already established fanbase, a more accepting market and a way more powerful and connected industry. Tiffany Unnie looks so pretty in her dress ^^ I don't see why people were so rude when they won. She took her precious time to fly ALL the way from Seoul to US to go to these Awards. Tiffany and GG should be respected for all of the hard work they do to get love from their home and international fans! They practice dancing non stop WHILE singing at the same time. That takes a lot of talent. Also when I was watching the nominees, I saw mainly the American singers just singing and not dancing while singing. MOST of them have to have their backup dancers dance for them while their singing and doing facial expressions. I am an American Fan who has loved Kpop ever since I was little and I support all of KPOP artists! Eveb PSY was danicng while singing and he is awesome! I am proud that GG won these awards!

Just to contribute to the madness, Girls' Generation made it into the top 20 of the best selling female music group in HISTORY. They're currently at #19. You cannot deny these girls are all talented. Before you insult them, study a little bit of Asian music culture. Don't be a close-minded person. It's all about the idolism and dancing and cuteness in Asian pop music. Tiffany and Jessica were born in America, better than some singers in America that are not even born in America or American. I hate racism, and ignorant people. Some of the comment I see here is so heartbreaking... I grow up in America, in Florida. The hype of the artist there is beautiful; I take a liking to a myriad amount of them. Just being passionate about the music is a great thing to see. Even though I grow up in Florida, my sister and mother live in Korea; I lived with my father. As I was experiencing American music my sister never fail to mention their artists up there such as SNSD, 2NE1, SISTAR, and many more of their success and music. I fell in love with Girls Generation; I was obsessed with them even though as a Korean I did not understand half of what they were saying! I just wanted to say that just because a well known artist you do not know does not win, you should not point fingers accusing other artists talents just because you do not understand the language or have never heard of them... I am not saying someone is more talented than another, but I am saying Girls Generation works very hard for what they do and they do not deserve this criticism.
