This should be the perfect song for them for their legendary comeback as 9 members... The first line really suited for them....

I can safely say this is my favorite SNSD song in terms of lyrics. I've been a Sone since I was 4 or 5. Now 10 years have passed, and there have been several changes in the K-pop industry. For example, when I was younger if I said I liked K-pop, the group that came to peoples' mind was SNSD. Now if I were to say the same, people would think of Blackpink or BTS. Now here is where I want to stress that *I don't intend to throw hate on any groups.* Although I would say that nowadays BTS, Blackpink, etc. are the global faces of K-pop, listening to T.O.P, especially Seohyun's line, "Do you remember? The 9 warriors," makes me remember that, although they are the flame bearers now, they weren't the ones that lit the flame in the first place. Rather, it was groups like SNSD who launched K-pop into the global scene. It's a nostalgic feeling. And Seohyun was right when she sang that line. SNSD aren't just normal pop singers. They are legends and warriors who brought the Hallyu wave to where it is today. And although we now see 5 members in front of our eyes, we remember with songs like T.O.P that it wasn't 5 warriors that brought us here, but 9. If you made it here to the end, thank you for your patience. Remember, *5 in our eyes, 9 in our hearts.*

I've only been an SNSD fan since 2019, completely by chance ("KZbin is my best friend!") I'd lost interest in any and all Pop/Rock music in my early 30's (I'm now 60 years old) . I did notice when GG won the YT MV of the Year Award with 'IGAB' which impressed but also confused me at the time. Apart from that strange event, for the next few years my impression of K-Pop was that it was a production line of groups of pretty girls or boys lip-synching to diabetes-inducing infantile romantic lyrics exclusively targeting 12-year old Korean schoolgirls. That is, until I stumbled across "Sister's Slam Dunk" which I thought might be some entertaining weirdness ( from my UK/USA perspective). It was VERY entertaining, and interesting but I at first thought Tiffany was cast just as a pretty face who had apparently been in a couple of music videos. A few episodes in and I wondered why she often 'disappeared' so I searched Girl's Generation', saw the massive amount of video thumbnails that showed up and decided to properly investigate, beginning with "Girl's Go To School'. From that I learned A LOT, not just about SNSD but about Korean culture and the K-Pop world--- the effort, the influences, the artistry, the industry, and yes, in the center of it all SNSD is absolutely the foundation upon which current K-pop success is built. It seems for the past five years international fandom has grown based principally on slick music videos, which is understandable, BUT there's to to k-pop, and more to the talent displayed, than just the razzle-dazzle of perfect lighting and makeup, glamorous costuming and sexy moves that provide an instant thrill for the senses. It'takes some effort to find those moments amongst all the promotional material when k-pop 'idols' actually reveal themselves as artists, rather than commercial products. I have found, scattered through hundreds of videos, numerous of acknowledgements and demonstrations by SNSD of their genuine appreciation of their "sunbaes' such as Boa, SES, The Grace, and FinKl and their contemporaneous 'rivals' such as Wonder Girls and Kara. But SNSD built upon their inspiring examples exponentially through fortunate talent and a remarkable realization that they could balance their personal ambitions with a team effort. They managed to excel personally and together, like no other group before, nor arguably since. And while they are proud of what they've done, they are also still still humble about it all. Never mind all the industry records they broke and set, the new paradigms and benchmarks they established, they maintain a grace, humility and joy in what they do. and a sincere gratitude for their fans and their colleagues. They are indeed , legend.

I couldn't have said it better myself. I definitely feel the same. If only if only, they'd all come back together for like one tour or one show. I'd pay thousands of euros for it as I never was able to see them perform live once :(
