We have bears on our property in the mountains in Pennsylvania and I am learning from this podcast is we and our neighbors may have unknowingly conditioned these bears over many many years because we throw our scraps in the woods far away from the house and since we enjoy seeing them while up there even while deer hunting because they never mess with us and if we make our selfs known the walk or run away and they don’t try and take the deer from us they don’t even try to break into anything to get the deer or any food and I am guessing it’s because there well fed and we don’t let anybody hunt them so there safe but we never see any other bears then the ones we are aware of they don’t mess with anybody dogs and we never see any other predators so maybe we feed them so well it’s not worth the effort to fuck with us but they keep everything else out to protect there safe food source or I am totally wrong I am just guessing let me know what u guys think

We definitely do not recommend feeding bears for many reasons, and in many states that would be classified as baiting - which depending on the state can be illegal
