@@sonomidoriko1591 I think they are referring to how the united states exported Shermans to Russia and the UK under lend-lease. But as for buying, it took the UK something like 60 years to pay for all those tanks, the quantity was huge.

The Sherman was the second most built tank of the war, at 50,000 units. More T-34s were made, but not by much (roughly about 7,000) and the Sherman was a much better tank. Especially once it got over its teething problems.
