Fun fact, Klara is voiced by a Russian voice actress and Nonna's voice actress studied the Russian language in college. So they're actually speaking Russian and not given a phonetic script to read. Kind of like how Carol in Tomo-chan is a Girl is from Los Angeles and voiced both the English and Japanese dubs.

Fun fact, Klara in the Saga of Pravda manga is an officer in the Russian army and is also heavily implied to be a fully grown adult (likely in her late 20s) posing as a teenage girl just so she can be close to Katyusha and Nonna. She loves Katyusha just as much as Nonna and describes her as the plug that fills the empty hole that is her heart.

Nonna's Russian was originally better, but she was directed to sound more Japanese because it was too naturally Russian. Which is why she sounds comparatively stilted; it's deliberate.
