Even when I didn't know squat about cycling I always liked watching Contador. Just shows how great he is.

@theyoungh.z1727 propre alors qu'il a été suspendu pour dopage?!? Mais bon si tu crois à son histoire de steak contaminé mdrrrr
@flazone448611 ай бұрын

Their generation...Contador. Niball somewhat a lucky guy he mostly won grand tours when the guys to beat crashed. And would certainly not put him in this category.

@bandolerox137........clearly you are a 'newbie' and completely ignorant about cycling. There is only one cyclist that is truly deserving of that title - Marco Pantani. The best climber ever. End of.

My 3 favorite climbers . 1) Pantani 2) Contador 3) Froome 4) Eddy Merckx 5) Bernard Hinault 6) Migel Indurain 7) Greg Lemond 8) Lance Armstrong ( disqualified but he could have won without the juice ) real shame 4 the Sport & Him . In no particular order of preference... Primoz Roglic . Was pushing 2 big a gear in 2020 2nd last stage TT. And others ... Ritchie Porte Ben O'Connor , Tadej Podacar & Julian Alaphilppe 🚴🏼♂️🚴🏼♂️🚴🏼♂️🚴🏼♂️ Will be a Super Interesting 2022 TdeF. 🚴🏼♂️🚴🏼♂️🚴🏼♂️🚴🏼♂️🚴🏼♂️🚴🏼♂️🚴🏼♂️ May not be 2 everyone's liking 😀😀

nautaYT in my opinion the secret to this ability of his isn’t physiology, it’s technique Look at his form Elbows tucked in, not out, weight rests on his bones rather than trying to fold his elbows like with everyone else which must then use muscle strength to counter that, which is not sustainable. Instead of pedaling with just his legs, he’s using his arms to move his upper body over the bike, lets the bike fall to the side a little, and twists his body around the axis of his pedaling leg so that he pedals with almost all of his weight with minimal movement. He’s using his arms to move his body around to pedal with his weight, and he does it in a sustainable way, not like the regular unsustainable “just swing the bike from side to side”. Even the position of his thumbs on the hoods matters to this technique, I found that out after months of trying. I eventually quit the sport to focus on academics, but I can’t help but wonder... If I didn’t, could I perhaps utilize his technique for competitive purposes The pros of it are sustainable pedaling out of the saddle, very sudden, powerful attacks becoming easy to do, and it gives one an ability to rest the legs on climbs by pedaling more with weight than with leg-power. The cons are that you still need to train your arms for this, it takes a lot of practice to master, and it puts quite a lot of pressure on your cardiovascular system. There are no free meals in this world, the pressure taken off your leg muscles goes a little to your arms and a lot to your cardio, since despite doing it in as short, efficient, effortless movements as possible, you’re still swinging your body around to pedal with your weight.
@oldtwinsna83474 жыл бұрын
sad part was during his later decline where he noticeably couldn't dance of the pedals in the same way anymore. directly translated into poor performance. painful to watch those races.
