After several years I returned to never get tired of seeing these beautiful works of yours, I have a lot of nostalgia for this one, it is precisely my town where I was born. You passed through the Artigas gardens on the outskirts of Lillet... sculpted with natural works by the great architect Gaudi. The ancient historic cement train. You linked along the side of the old museum towards Castellar de n'Hug, Llobregat fountains. You will surely see some marmot in the Creueta natural park. Again, if you came back, try cutting right at the intersection after leaving gombreny towards the right direction Castellar de n"Hug through the Mataplana castle. You will surely like the ruins of the castle and the Mongrony Monastery;)

I did this ride in October 2017 because of your video (as well as a few others before and since). Not disappointed one bit and very very little traffic. Most of the time I was all alone. For a slightly more suffering inducing loop from Ripoll, I climbed the Coll de Jou via Ogassa the following day (and i'm carrying about 240lbs). If you are ever in the area again, I recommend giving it a go. Some rough roads, but worth it.www.ramacabici.com/altimetrias/jouogassa.htm Thanks for the Inspiration. Dolomites this summer!!!

Great video, Mike. Any chance you can do one of Passo del Mortirolo some time? I'm riding that one in just under 2 weeks, and looking forward to it. I just haven't decided whether to ride up it from Mazzo (the toughest one), or from Grozio. Decisions, decisions...
@chriswitek94557 жыл бұрын
both
@evictorr7 жыл бұрын
Ha! I'd love to, but I'm doing this as part of a multi-day tour with a bicycle touring company, and the itinerary for that day is Mortirolo then Gavia, and we have the option of riding up Mortirolo from either town. It's not so easy for me to just travel there on my own, as I'm from Australia, so I decided a supported tour might be a better option.
@MikeCotty7 жыл бұрын
evictorr we've filmed the Mortirolo and it'll be coming soon. Not sure if it'll be before your trip though 😞 Go for Mazzo, that's what the Mortirilo is all about! Good luck!
@evictorr7 жыл бұрын
Thanks, Mike, for the good luck wishes. I'll manage the climb somehow. I'm not the fastest climber, but my endurance is pretty good. I plan to video the ascent with a GoPro, too, so I can watch it later and think "Was I crazy enough to do that?" :)

So after you reach the top of the Creueta there are a few ways to get back to the starting point, so first, how did you get down to Planoles Spain (N-260 or GIV-4016) , then from there, I assume you took the N-260 back to Ribes? I'm wishing you had your routes posted somewhere that I could use when I hit the area. I'm going to Girona in June 2020, and am creating routes based off your videos.

@MikeCotty7 жыл бұрын
John Lyons It's always good to learn to understand your body so you can go on feel. If you can hold a conversation on the climb that's s good pace. Relax, don't push too hard too early, and make sure you take the time to enjoy the view! Good luck!
