Ryan Filip Too many decks that plays for you, like Evilswarm, madolche, battlin boxer etc. But madolche is the most unfair deck atm, given you get good card design.dek with tiaramisu and angelly is so good protecting your hootcake...hootcake is basically free 2 cards, ticket is free cards, tiaramisu's eff is free cards. Unfair advantage? Yes.

Since you were asking about Gem Knights and their types, they're like the opposite of E-Heroes. Whereas E-Heroes are all warriors and their fusions rely on different attributes for their fusions, Gem Knights are for the most part earth and their fusions require different types.

Also, Vanity's will not destroy itself if you use an XYZ material. The card says "sent from the field or the deck to your graveyard," and since materials are not considered on the field it'll remain on the field.

I was about to say I have a non-archetypal deck, but then I remembered that "Number" is an archetype, and all but 3 cards in my extra deck are Numbers (because Number Wall kills some decks). Other than that I run Mandragora and Exiton Knight, which are both part of the Evilswarm Archetype, but that's it. And if you were going to enforce a ban on archetypes, how exactly would you do that? Can't use any card from an archetype? There goes almost all the Xyz. Can only use one named card of any single archetype? There goes every support card ever made for an archetype. I'm sure there's a balance you could come up with somewhere, but it'd take a lot of testing and a lot of workaround, and I'm pretty sure a lot of people would be upset by it, considering MOST decks are archetypal. Like I said, even my deck that at first glance seems non-archetypal runs 15 Number/support cards in it.

you can argue that the gishki player had the most and best resources in the duel, but then completely squandered them all at the start leaving their partner with pretty much no options, and B.) wasted their mst on the d.d.r to kill the gem knight of all things when he/she had robo destroyer on the field of all things, leaving them no options to get over problem cards like skill drain, vanities emptiness, mistake, etc.

I facepalmed so badly at the Gishki player..... there was no reason to go off all in on the first turn. I would've understood if he had backrow (which Gishkis sometimes don't play) but all he did was go into Galaxy destroyer...

To answer your question why an aqua is an EARTH attribute, Gem-knights are based on precious stones that come from the Earth's surface IMO. Also, there's a FIRE attribute Aqua (or is it WATER pyro? cant remember), so fuck it.

Dude, gem knights are amazing. I use them all the time and win a lot. Even pulled off a lot of OTKs (lost count, as a matter of fact). However, they're terrible if you use them poorly. You need creativity in this deck otherwise it sucks. Clearly this guy didn't have anything special so it was sucking here but the point is, gem knights are not to be underestimated.

Step 1: Make your specials/plays and set Vanity. Step 2: Wait for your opponent to use a special summoning effect that has a negative cost, for example D.D.R. Step 3:Laugh that you stopped a play. Step 4: Protect your monster so that Vanity does not destroy itself. Vanity does have it's weakness, but Bujin's can manage around it's destruction effect because it does not include discarding in it's condition.

I have a scenerio my oppenent plays tempress of prochecy puts spellbook of power on it then activate its effect to get high preitess or world of prohecy i chain vanity so he doesnt play anything will it work in my favor or fail

IIRC Tempress would start a chain, so it would be tributed and High Priestess would not be summoned. I don't know for sure because I haven't faced the deck in a long time.

I've been testing an unorthodox version of gem-knights that uses he feminist but no redox. I play gem-knight crystal although it is not very good because how I play tennis deck is to focus on opening 1 gem-knight fusion. And 5 monsters. I play 2 gem-knight fusion and 3 upstarts as my only spels because I want to open a majority of monsters. I playn3 turtle since you can fusion the rock guy if you already have gem-knight fusion. Playing 3 upstarts with 2 fusions is almost the same as playing 3 fusions. It's a difference between like 2 percent so that's not a big deal and it insures Icant have more than 2 spells in hand. I use the feminist as extra fodder and I max out on all the cards that can regain me advantage like volcanic shell, obsidian, and laquari. It's completely different from most builds but it works incredibly though cards,like necrovalley mean I lose.

Well, Gem-Knights have always had a problem with Necro no matter what the build, they are very graveyard oriented. But I play an aggressive build that doesn't let me lose advantage, and i only run three garnet and three tourmaline, but i main deck Veiler and Lyla because I have one Seraphinite, that i've actually gone into several times.It's trap heavy, and meant to win game 1, which it can do most of the time.

My build is the opposite. It plays no backrow and relies on gem-knight fusion to go off. Without it I can't do much but I also designed it so that I will almost always have enough monsters to go for big plays If I open fusion. The only 2 cards in my deck that I can't use gem-knight fusion with are snipe hunter and rescue rabbit. I believe the aqua Gemini is vital to my deck because it allows me to go into amethyst. I've only otked with aquamarine once but I still want to have the option to otk if my opponent has backrow. My deck can easily get 4 gem-knights since I don't have to worry about opening gem-knight fusion and a bunch of spells. Maybe we should exchange decklists and try out each others decks. Mine: 3x: garnet,tourmaline,armadallo,turtle,obsidian,lazuli,aqua gemini gem-knight,alexandrite,volcanic shell,upstart 2x: gem-knight fusion,crystal,pyro gemini gem-knight, amber, 1x: rabbit, snipe hnter

By the nature of the game, Yes, they are. normally to ritual or fusion summon you would need a spell as well as a cost of one or more monsters for one monster. Making the equation to summon these monsters 1 (S) + 1+ (M's) = 1 R/F (at least 2 for 1) They aren't cost-based if one were to play a card like miracle fusion which pulls its resources from the graveyard. It could also be argued that it is not cost based if one were to be playing a deck which is able to use its graveyard as a resource as well (Like Dragon Rulers) or other such cards that have an ability once in the graveyard.

Altinore He's referring to how the game treats them. When sending materials for a fusion or tributes for a ritual those cards sent are not considered a card's "Cost"; any cards sent are by the "effect" of the fusion/ritual card.
