Hey ninjas, in this Git & GitHub tutorial I want to show you how you can fork a repository to your own GitHub account. You'd typically do this if you wanted to contribute to some kind of open source project.

I’ve never really used git or GitHub before.. usually the projects I worked on were just solo projects so I never really saw the need in git or GitHub and any libraries hosted on GitHub that I needed, I just downloaded as files to my computer. But one time I had to kind of use git when i tried launching a project on heroku and I just sort of copied their instructions without really understanding how git really worked. I always thought that git and GitHub were one thing but thanks to you I now know the difference and how it all works ( obviously not all of it but I get the idea ) .. thanks for this series it really helped clear up a bunch of the questions I had. It all used to be just a foggy mess in my head. Maybe I’ll start using it more now. Great job
