AFTER TWO MONTHS...IT IS COMPLETE!!
thank you so, so much to all of the particpants including everyone who submitted a thumbnail. it was very hard to choose which one to pick, but I had to make a choice :(
Seeing this MAP completed has felt like watching my baby grow up,, i spent a lot of time editing the script, designs, and au to get it to work, and i think we've done it! im so proud of everyone who joined. you guys helped bring this map to life. Thank you.
to give a synopsis here (from map call description):
"this map is based around my AU, in which Appledusk is reincarnated into Thrushpelt. i tried to write around how both of the tom's choices influenced and change each other and the lives around them. though Appledusk is, in a way, part of Thrushpelt, the Thunderclan cat is able to live his own life and decide for himself who he wants to be to himself and the people around him.
reincarnation is very...spotty in warriors, allowing us to really explore the effect it has on it's world due to the rules being so loose and unexplained. its really fun to play with! i hope my thoughts are translated well; this song is VERY short."

I think the best part of this AU is that BlueFur legit lost her sister and kits (As well as Moonflower, though not mentioned here) and ThrushPelt stayed by her side with AppleDusk to observe his behaviour. Watched her kits as though they were his own, even entirely aware they weren't his. AppleDusk seemed to visibly take note of that in the animation when BlueFur and ThrushPelt are mourning over the 'deaths' of the three kits. Like he wanted to be mad at her or insensitive in the background, but he physically couldn't, seeing his reincarnation provide support through and through. ThrushPelt physically taught AppleDusk a lesson or two by simply living. Just as AppleDusk mentally acknowledged to give her as much love as he could muster, without crossing the boundaries BlueFur did set, which he respected. AppleDusk was able to actually play with and adore the presence of the kits before they were taken away, something he wasn't able to do with his own. This is probably the most out-of-the-box au that I wish I could see more of and absolutely love.

You know when Bluefur was crying when she lost her kits (like Mapleshade did) and then thrushpelt came to support her? Well Appledusk was just like “snap. Why didn’t I help Mapleshade?” And looked like he regretted everything.

wow... THAT WAS INCREDIBLE! You showed Blue and Thrush's relationship so well, and showed that she did in fact see him as a friend, when most people have her completely ignore him in their vids! I love the way you showed Thrush and Apple's relationship, and the way that Apple was always sticking by him, and the ending was simply impactful! 11/10 will watch again 10374475839291263363 times.

i agree. while i believe Mapleshade’s Vengeance portrays EVERYONE as an antagonist (except the kits, of course) i believe that appledusk was at least loyal to RC and decently intelligent. sure he made some pretty shitty choices which led to his death and he found it incredibly difficult to sympathize, he’s not ALL bad and i like a map like this that doesn’t portray him as all bad

I like that even though Bluestar was meant to represent Mapleshade, Appledusk’s first love who lost her kits, but in the end his incarnation saw her as Reedshine, whom Appledusk loved at the end of his life too. She represented the two loves of Appledusks life, but Thrushpelt loved her at all stages of his.

Wow I’m so late but I love this MAP concept and I love how a MAP finally shows that Appledusk isn’t a super bad evil person. Sure he messed up, but he wasn’t like super evil and mean. I also love how you show Bluefurs and Thrushpelts relationship. And that end part was just so perfect with both the graphics and the music. Overall, everyone in this map did a fantastic job!

As other's have said it's nice to see Appledusk * who is one of my fav character's * painted in a more positive light for once. Appledusk get's too much hate. Appledusk was right when he said that it was Mapleshade's fault their kit's drowned. SHE * mapleshade * was the one who took their kit's across a flooded river which even little Petalkit could see wasn't safe. Mapleshade had other option's like the twoleg bridges or going to twoleg place or literally anything beside's taking them across a clearly unsafe river. it only make's sense that appledusk was cold to maple after their kit's death's. he was grieving and if your lover killed your kid's you wouldn't want to see them again either. For anyone who says that Appledusk didn't care about Mapleshade and their kit's and that he was just using Reedshine...i beg to differ. Appledusk is clearly happy when he learns maple is pregnant saying: " i'm going to be a father! incredible!". the fact that he was in a forbidden relationship with mapleshade at all show's he care's for her. when maple foolishly takes the kit's out of camp to the river of all place's Appledusk tell's maple that the kit's are wonderful and that he's proud of her for giving him such wonderful kit's. he is clearly distress when he find's out the kit's were in the flooded river. As for Reedshine: Appledusk give's his life to save her and their unborn kit's and refuses to let her help train Perchpaw * who he is shown to be a caring mentor to* in fear for her and the kit's safety. I personally think Reedshine and Appledusk were already mate's and that Mapleshade was the other woman. it only make's sense as that expalin's how reedshine could be so heavily pregnant when maple sees her and apple when she is on her murder mission. Lastly i think that another reason Appledusk broke up with maple is because maple was seen to be very possessive of appledusk. sme quote's that proove this: " you and your kit's must die! appledusk is mine!"- Mapleshade attacking Reedshine. "Stay away from him Reedshine! he's mine! these kit's will make sure of that!"- Mapleshade at the gathering when she see's apple with reed. now i'm not saying maple didn't care about her kit's but she clearly saw her kit's as a way to cement her realtionship with appledusk or "baby trap" him if you will, which is just messed up. Anyway's beside's the whole "cheating" thing * even though they are CAT'S and other cat's in the clan's have had more than one mate * i think Appledusk was a good cat and doesn't deserve the hate.

Agh yes!! People seem to forget how much of a complex guy Appledusk seemed to be..... For one thing, he acCIDENTALLY MURDERED A MAN. Birchface (?), remember? He accidentally yeeted him off of Sunningrocks during a battle and he died. When Mapleshade brought it up to him in ch1 of Mapleshade's Vengeance, he did seem to feel pretty guilty about it. But still- how exactly does one even do that?!?!? Also also also!!! He just seemed like an overall chill and good dude! That's why Mapleshade was so absolutely stunned and heartbroken when it was revealed that he was with Reedshine!! _AND_ most likely why Reedshine chose to stick with him even though she knew about Mapleshade and the MapleApple kits! AND AND AND!!! He!! Literally died for Reedshine! Mapleshade was trying to kill _her._ A _pReGnAnT wOmAn_ WhO'd dOnE _nOtHiNg WrOnG._ But Appledusk clearly loved her enough to jump in front of Mapleshade and be killed in Reedshine's place. Either he saw it as taking responsibility for his actions, or he just valued Reed's life that much, or maybe he even thought he deserved it. Idk. But while he was certainly a bastard for how he treated Mapleshade, he had to have been a pretty fine guy outside of that! I mean, he took the loss of his kits pretty hard as well, even if he handled that grief extremely badly. ApPlEdUsK rEdEmPtIoN pOg?

@@Midnightwolf1333 Appledusk is a warrior of Riverclan. He fell in love with a warrior of Thunderclan named Mapleshade, and they had children. When Mapleshade was exiled from her clan for having half half clan kits, she tried to join Riverclan, but her kits drowned in the river. Appledusk blamed her for their deaths and refused to stand up for her when his leader didn't allow her to stay in Riverclan. In this AU, Appledusk's spirit, upon death, is 'put in' a Thunderclan tom's body named Thrushpelt. Thrushpelt was a warrior that was in love with Bluefur, a thunderclan warrior. Bluefur loved a warrior from Riverclan named Oakheart, and had kids with him. Unlike Mapleshade, Thrushpelt took up a fatherly roll in the kit's life. He loved the kids and Bluefur, even if she did not love him back. Bluefur, fearing a battle hungry warrior named Thistleclaw would become deputy ((which later was revealed that he NEVER would of been picked)), took her children to Riverclan and their father. Bluefur came home yowling that a fox had stolen her children and killed them, and the clan somehow believes it. Bluefur becomes deputy then leader of Thunderclan, all while Thrushpelt is mourning the loss of their kids and is still in love with Bluefur. Thrushpelt dies from a respiratory sickness. Appledusk, being forced to watch this all go down, realizes he was wrong for turning away the mother of his dead kids and sees the error of his way, and it seems(?) they both join Starclan
