Years ago a devout lady taught me a similar method of giving my problems to Jesus. Her method involved laying my problem before the foot of the Cross stepping back and leaving it there witnessing the blood, sweat, tears and water from Jesus' side wash over that problem and walking away from it problem knowing it was safe and taken care of. So to say I love this method as you described it, is an understatement. Thank you and Amen
