This is still a smaller-bodied Martin (yet not as small as the Little Martin LXE1 that we're used to seeing him with) and he's been using it for all of his shows lately. Bigger venues call for a bigger sound... and a bigger sound calls for a bigger guitar.

But the LX1E was his thing. What's the point in making a signature model if he's going to stop using it?

I don't think he's going to stop using it. He said in an interview that the new guitar was a gift from Martin and is very expensive. He'll probably use it for the earlier part of his tour, then go back to using the LX1E when he does arenas and larger venues.

it's a one of a kind custom 00 parlour guitar that martin made for him. it's still a 3/4 guitar.
