You forgot to mention the reversal, VERY IMPORTANT. If your victim is shy, an absence early on the seduction will be fatal, they will not chase after you and they will forget you If your victim is going through a painful situation, you can't give them space to fall, you have to be there for them. When your victim manages to get out of this situation, then, you can give them space to fall.

I understand your point though, it’s meant to be taken in a less dramatic fashion than the historical stories it references. Also, this is less about long-term love relationships and more about passionate affairs, in my opinion (I’m still reading the book).

What if you prefer a different ending than Baudelair´s? Instead of turning away from her, you want to be with her. Won´t it be the case that as soon as she gets what she wants, i.e. you in a relationship with her, she will no longer be interested and dump you? In that case this seduction technique already has in mind that you will not be together with her in the end. So, the only time you can use this is when you don´t want anything from her, which in other words is making her fall in love with you. without wanting to follow up on the result. The Greeder this is an extreme example explaining what is possible. All the book is telling you to do is to give the other person enough space to fantasize about you. You want to maintain some mystery to keep them wondering about you and to keep their imagination alive, even if you decide to commit to them. You don’t want to be taken for granted. You don’t have to follow Baudelaire’s example. These are guideliness, not rules. How you decide to use this is information is up to you.

I`ve found that The no contact rule doesn`t work at a places like college or a university, because you`ll see your victim all the time therefore, giving your victim time to miss you is quite hard if not impossible.

Make a point of interacting less with them when you do see them. Befriending someone of the opposite sex (assuming you are straight) and bringing them along when you see this person might help. Same class as you? Make a point of befriending someone else and sitting beside them from time to time etc... This is the same as the no contact rule to some degree.

warda mushtaq It really depends on the other person and the particular situation, but giving them space could MAYBE work by allowing the other person to forget about your neediness. I know it can be painful to read this, but you might not be able to save your relationship. You definitely won't be able to do so with this frame of mind. In the end, wanting to "repair the damage" looks needy, and this type of behavior can push a lot of people away. Tbh, I think you should let this person go and get to the root cause of your neediness (I will be talking about how you can do this soon). Doing this will help you become a lot more attractive and confident. This could maybe attract that other person to you once again, but you'll feel so good about yourself that you won't even care about saving the relationship by then. Good luck!

I was saying repair the damage in a context of seduction process. Needy in a sense like always initiate text and conversion. Doing efforts to somehow we can meet. The other person do reciprocate to my efforts clearly and show interest too but never initiate. That's why I haven't spoken to him from last 3 months. I think by being impatient I ruined the seduction process as by doing all the work. So I m now on step back mode if there is even a little spell of mine to him he will contact otherwise I m mentally prepare to let go
