You can also do this similar way using Text To Speech extension in Scratch but with limited voices but this way shown in the video is also creative and cool too.

Thanks for the feedback! Text to speech is great, but it's a bit of a one-size-fits-all affair. You can choose between a few different voices, but aside from those you can't change the pitch or tone of the sound or add special effects. One fun thing you can do with text-to-speech is use it to get your characters speaking in international accents. For example, you can get sprites to speak English in a strong Japanese accent. Great for anime projects!
