True story y’all: My ex and I left off on bad terms back in February (pre-COVID). Around September I dreamt that we ran into each other, sat alone and talked, then peacefully said goodbye. This just made me realized how little people are exposed to deeper, darker-toned male singers and it's kinda sad. *EDIT:* Before you reply to me that I'm "stupid", this has nothing to do with race. In the singing world, voices have "tone color". It's what makes one voice sound different from another. There are dark tones and light tones. Words often have more than one application but I acknowledge that I should have clearly stated "voice" since most of you don't do vocal study. To talk about race in this context is ridiculous; of course Black singers can have any tone. Giveon is what you would call a Baritone, and these voices are lower and darker than a Tenor which is what your ears are accustomed to hearing. High notes aren't everything. Thanks if you actually read this or understood my original reply.
