my mommy passed away on October 27th after suffering for eight months from a stroke. my dad devoted himself to caring for her, not going to work during that time. And the most cherished moment in my life as well as tinged with melancholy was when my mom, dad, and i spent a day at the viewpoint in Gelephu. we talked about how, after her recovery, we would visit Sikkim together, where we planned to donate at temples and enjoy our time as a family. shortly after, my mother had another stroke, triggered by a nightmare, which took away her speech and joy. On her 49th day, my brother, dad, and i went to Sikkim without her, and it felt empty travelling without her. that picnic day with her remains my most cherished moment. i wish i could share everything more fully, but i don’t think i have the room.

One of my fav memories is when I got lost in Thimphu with my little sister. We were supposed to head home but ended up wandering in circles. My sister, who had lived there her whole life, didn’t knw the way either cause she was too young to remember anything even Google maps failed to help 😂. One of my favourite moments happened when I took my six-year-old daughter to Changlimithang Ground to witness National Day celebrations. It was her heartfelt request she wanted to hear our king speak for the first time in her life.I went with an open heart, without any real preparation for the cold, knowing how special this would be. We two were able to get in and the people around us were incredibly kind, I was too fortunate enough to meet my friend who offered to share all the sleeping bags and blankets with us, which made the chilly night much more bearable especially for my little baby girl!🙏🏻 As the morning sun began to rise, I looked at my daughter and thought, “I did this.” It was one of those moments where I knew I was doing something that would stay with her forever. One of the best memories I have this year is adopting my two adorable dogs, Cutie and Bokto. Cutie is Bokto’s mother, and there’s a bit of a story behind how they came into my life hehe. Bokto was being bullied by another dog, so I approached their owner, who had recently had a baby and was struggling to care for both dogs. Initially, she was hesitant to let me take Bokto. She explained that if I wanted Bokto, I’d also have to take Cutie because they couldn’t bear to be apart. I happily agreed and brought them both home. Reflecting on this, I just want to remind everyone: DONT give your pets away to just anyone, and always ensure they’ll be happy and cared for!

the day my azhim got me a puppy was one of the happiest moments of my life. I was overwhelmed with joy and gratitude. it felt like a dream come true, knowing that she had thought of something so special for me. on the same day, my mom took me to meet my azha, someone who has always been a pillar of care and love in my life. seeing him reminded me of all the ways he's supported me, even in tough times. however, my heart was heavy knowing his circumstances, as he ended up in jail despite being such a kind and selfless person. that day was a mix of emotions. it reminds me of the importance of cherishing the people and moments that truly matter in life. happy new year ❤️☹️

A Memory to Cherish Forever One of my favorite memories is meeting new friends and learning to let go of those I couldn’t hold onto. It’s a memory I hold dear because I’m someone who tends to be sensitive and often backs down when faced with challenges. For a long time, I didn’t realize that this habit was holding me back. But this year, I learned to let go and opened myself up to new friendships and opportunities, allowing me to rediscover the things I love to do. I’ve always been scared of hypocrisy and judgment, but then I met a wonderful friend, a sweet foreign friend, who showed me experiences I never thought I would have. She encouraged me to step out of my comfort zone, and I am so grateful for her. She introduced me to rock climbing, something I never imagined myself doing. I remember laughing at myself because I felt like a frog clinging to the wall, but I didn’t care, I was having so much fun! She also motivated me to go on morning jogs, even during the chilly winter mornings when I usually slept in. Together, we encouraged each other, breathing in the fresh morning air and feeling proud to be among the first to enjoy the serene beauty of a new day. She also introduced me to slacklining, which was both scary and exhilarating. Although I felt shy with so many people watching, I gave it a try, and it turned out to be an incredible experience. One of my favorite adventures with her was a trip to Phobjikha. It was my first time there, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We went on morning jogs in the breathtaking valley, surrounded by stunning views of cranes, yaks, horses, and even a few donkeys. I felt like both a tourist and a Bhutanese, discovering parts of my country I had never truly appreciated before. During the short 80 days we spent together out of the 365 this year, I laughed, learned, loved, and experienced things I hadn’t in the remaining 285 days. Before meeting her, I didn’t realize that I was someone who could enjoy outdoor activities. I used to stay at home or stick to familiar routines, but with her, I discovered a version of myself that was adventurous and eager to explore. She helped me step out of my comfort zone and, in doing so, helped me grow. Our final goodbye was one of the hardest moments, but before she left, she shared a picture with me that said, “How lucky I am to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard.” For that, I will always be thankful to her and will miss her dearly. Mine would be the moment when my finals got over. I felt very unsure many times throughout the year of whether I would be able to work through this course or not and the fact that it has nothing to do with my interests but trying to do best for future sake. I felt alone and distracted and the struggle to come through and out of these crevices was real. Despite the dread of timeline and the pressure, I didn’t die of fear and loneliness. The day my finals got over felt like a small victory for me and this will be the start of my own fire.

One of the favorite memories of this year was I solo traveled for the first time and it felt good to be myself after becoming a mother to my beautiful daughter. It’s not that I love her less but sometimes we loose our identity after becoming a mama and we are just being a good mama, good wife, good daughter, good sister and we forget who we are. My favorite memory this year would definitely be seeing how much I have grown into a stronger, more independent person who knows how to take care of myself. This final year of my four year bachelor’s degree in Nepal has been a journey filled with learning and change, and being here has made it all the more meaningful. I have faced my share of challenges, made mistakes, and worked through them, learning to set boundaries, forgive myself, and stay true to what I believe in. One of my favorite family picnic memories was at a serene lakeside park. We spread out a checkered blanket under a shady tree, enjoying homemade sandwiches, fried chicken, and Mom's famous cookies. After lunch, we played frisbee, and skipped stones by the lake. The highlight was renting a paddleboat, singing and laughing as the sun set in vibrant colors. Tired but happy, we sang our favorite songs on the way home a perfect day filled with laughter and love.

Taking care of it was challenging because it was fragile and small, but she is growing up quickly and is very healthy and is loved by everyone. I was quite busy with some stuffs and couldn’t watch your latest video. I’m sorry about that! Now that I have watched, I’ll share my best 2024 experience of my life. It was the trip with my classmates to phobjikha in month of October. Upon reaching there, we decided to go for a short hike to the beautiful scene of phobjikha. While coming back, some of my friends and I decided to follow the river path and we started our journey. After walking for few minutes, we encountered mud 😂 and all of us had to remove our shoes and cross that freezing small river three times to get to the road where our bus was waiting. It was so cold and I was literally suffering from cough and cold, I thought was I was going to die😂. Despite all those struggles, I made a memorable experience with them and of course our bond became stronger as a classmate. That’s all!!🫶🥹 And to talk about your videos, you literally inspire me to make videos. I always look up to you and I love love loveeee your videos😭❤️ so much love!!❤️

My favorite memory this year was helping a stray dog with mange. He was in terrible condition with no fur. I treated him with Ivermectin (injection for ticks and mites) for five days, along with antifungal and antihistamines. After two weeks, seeing him healthy and with a full coat of fur again made me so happy😅 I'm a vet btw
