A few years ago I visited Starved Rock national park and at the visitor center I asked the very helpful and kindly elderly gentleman there what route he'd recommend around the forest. He whipped out a pre-printed map on a sheet of paper and then very slowly and casually pencilled in a journey around the park for me to explore, pausing to tell me interesting pieces or history about the points I would be visiting in a warm, calm and soft spoken way as his pencil moved across the page. The whole experience only lasted a couple of minutes but his kindly warmth gave me goosebumps and I was mesmerised. This video gives me a very similar response to that magic encounter - you're a real gem. So glad I found this channel!

Pros of watching asmr: it relaxes you and makes you fall asleep. Cons: you fall asleep and lose your earbuds and your phone isn't charged in the morning.

I still love this video. It’s my go to for relaxing. I always joke in my mind that I could’ve taken a cab, eaten at the restaurant and come back to the hotel, and this guy would still be drawing the map for me. lol. I still love it though.

I wish everyone gave such great directions. Usually people go on for about 10 minutes like " ya you go down j street take a right on pumpkin ave a right not a left then you go straight for 2 blocks take a right at the green umbrella and walk up the secret alleyway till you see a flower garden then go right and you'll arrive at the resturant on your left hand side" T_T I'm sorry but could you repeat that 20 more times
