Dear @Accepting the Universe, Thank you for being 'one' with the animals and for demonstrating that they are indeed our greatest teachers (and even, in between multiple filming and editing takes - they are even evidently there to teach us.....patience)! Your ongoing ethical treatment towards animals is so appreciated; your wise delivery, so valuable to us viewers. Thank you also, for providing the link to Holyland Donkey Haven and for introducing us to this wonderfully important sanctuary. Learning of them, I can now gladly contribute to their cause. And we cannot forget.... Hugs...for the fabulous pooches: Leyla & Mishka. Anima*l Cheers

I am from Myanmar (Burma), with the longest civil war in human history, generational dictators, and ongoing revolutions with many armed tribes. And my personal life is even worse than my country; so it allows me to understand Kafka, Edgar Allan Poe, Dostoevsky, Charles Bukowski, and tragical writers. For me, Life is to live. The more you live the more life excites you. Be cautious, and meditative.

Thanks for your brief heartfelt sharing. I travelled to Burma around 8 years ago, just before the military overthrew Aung San Suu Kyi. The trip magically and beautifully shifted my view toward life. I was overwhelmed by the genuine heart of Burmese people. I was host from a Couchsufing member and got huge support from people along the trip from Yangon to Mandalay. I was treated like a family member from an old couple, who I met on the flight from Thai Lan to Yangon. So far the trip to Burma still stayed a special place in my heart. The last day on the way back to the airport, I shared a taxi with another traveller from Europe,we both agreed on 1 thing "the Burmese people has the kindness from a genuine heart, not from an educated head". We said that, it doesn't mean that education is less mighty, we just want to emphasize a genuine heart is special. ❤️ I'm sorry for all the chaos and suffering that the country has to undergo so far. And so did your personal life. The whole universe is spinning. And everything takes time. Suffering can be suffocating, and it may feel like hell on earth. But please, keep the light in your heart. In the darkest of the dark, we never forget the reason why we are here: to learn how to love, to practice love and being loved. We feel the suffering of our comrade, we feel the suffering of our own. And we let them go and find the unshakable peace in our heart. We are peace. And you are peace. ❤

One of the most beautiful things we see these animals practice so well, despite all else is forgiveness. I have rescued and fostered some abused cats in the past, whose ability to develop trust again in humans is absolutely uplifting, shocking and heartbreaking in the most beautiful ways. Forgiveness is too often an unappreciated, incredible super-power.

Yah. It's really sad that everyone doesn't know what we know. Even bugs do. I am a gardener, I watch bugs closely and daily. To me, it's been clear since childhood, despite my having been taught that they are commodities and have no feelings. There was a clear demarcation, however, the day I saw God in the eyes or a horse. There was no doubt in my heart that they are direct representatives and Creator watches us through them also. This is why they are so strong. Humans could benefit from being less arrogant and full of pride.

I have a puppy for 10 months now and many lessons I learnt in books have now a meaning. I learnt to be in the present moment, not to stick to negative feelings, to forgive and love again and again and again. Darkness can always be exposed by love and transformed by love. My love is tough still an amateur next to my puppy's inconditional love. There is this beautiful quote from Gandhi: "The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated." Another great video :) thanks

Maybe animals give loving-kindness and friendship so easily because they’re enlightened beings, not ignorant beings. Thank you for this surprise. Wasn’t expecting four-legged philosophers. It reminds me of when my aunt found two abandoned horses starving to death near her home. They had been left on a dirt road and had probably been starving long before they were abandoned. But they trusted my aunt and allowed her to help them. No bitterness, no hostility, no anger or victimhood. They only gave kindness and seemed to expect it in return. No grudges. They ended up living long lives, fat and happy, with a retired couple who adopted them after my aunt and father nursed them back to health. I hadn’t thought about those horses in a long time. My aunt named them Hope and Courage.

Life's meaning is not something we find, it's something we create. As Sartre believed, 'Man is condemned to be free.' With that freedom comes the responsibility to define your purpose. Give your actions meaning, and the rest will follow
@SurveyStilesBooks3 ай бұрын
Animals instinctively navigate adversity, while humans' rationality drives us to seek meaning and control over suffering. However, our pain often stems from the illusion of agency over past and future events. Self-awareness, both empowering and crippling, sets us apart. To find peace, we must acknowledge our limits, embrace uncertainty, and let go of our need for meaning in suffering.

This was the most pleasantly distracting video ive ever watched. I mean I thought the forest was good, I had no idea you were gonna bring in donkeys?!! Using them so talk about the deliberate choice we can make to be better individuals in general was an amazing way to explain it. I love reading about both sides of the coin, where people argue that humans tend to be very self centric when thinking about their position on this planet and also how we stand in a privileged position, only one of our kind, on this planet. So this was an amazing reminder of the later. I definitely made friends with them by the end of the video and will definitely donate!! I need to visit the donkeys they would make me feel better every time I get around animals they show me love.A few years back I was practicing stoicism without knowing about the word or the greats from history. My education went only to the sixth grade and from there on was taught by my peers that were what I would like to be fair in saying learning or just living in life themselves.I got this idea in my head to do the opposite of everyone and since I could feel a deep empathy for others I decided to go with peace love and fairness.I was homeless and feel I was tested so tremendously throughout this process.I was just poking around in KZbin when I came across this picture of a very strong spirited statue and read the words how to be stoic so I pressed play and discovered there were these ancient ways of thinking that I was already practicing.Unfortantly I've been loosing my direction and have become less and less pulled to feel I can accomplish this. I don't know what my problem is but I'm tired and I'm hoping for the shared knowledge of others to bring me to an epiphany.God bless and thank you I really enjoy the knowledge you share it helps tremendously 😇😁🙏

I’m in the exact same boat as you. I just started college too and I’m finding it difficult to adjust and to make new friends. I’m also feeling the same way you are in terms of being afraid to fail. Just know that you aren’t alone in feeling this way and I’m positive there are many others who feel this way too. To me, college is a place to fail and to fail a lot at that. I know that it’s easier said than done but failure really is one of the only ways we can grow. It helps me to think of it more as a stepping stone than a set back. Give it time and I’m sure everything will work out for us.

Yeah, I can relate to that back when I went to college. In my opinion, if you’re only going to college because that’s just kind of what you felt you were supposed to do but you’re not really honed in on a specific path of study or interested in doing the partying/socializing/greek life I would drop out and start working in a field you’re interested in. Just dive in, get started and if you feel the need later on you can always go back to get a degree. Or if you’re interested in traveling or there’s a certain place you want to live try that out for a while. If you really do want to be in school right now and you just want to meet some people join clubs or greek life. Also, volunteering is a great way to meet people, and that’s a situation where people tend to be sober, friendly, and trying to accomplish something. Good luck!
