The people who do drag are similar to actors: they are playing a character for entertainment. Usually that character is hyper feminine, hyper masculine, or a mix of masculine and feminine (see Conchita wurst). Like actors, the pple who do drag don't necessarily want to be the gender they are portraying. It's just a character.

I don't wear and have never worn makeup (also my pfp is from 6 years ago, so don't say I'm just a kid and will use makeup eventually. I hate these comments as passionately as people talking me into coffee or alcohol): Some are artistic and interesting. Some (most) are a waste of time as nobody cares what you looks like in your day to day life. People won't even actually look at you if they're not nosy creeps or doing identity checks at the airport. Especially those over the top influencer looks I think are overused and make you look like a plastic doll, but not a pretty one. Same with drag makeup. It's both just wasting hours of your day making something ugly (just my personal opinion, no hate against drag entertainers. They do a great job at entertaining, I just don't like their makeup). Such colourful not every day looks like Cristine is wearing in this video are fine especially for special occasions like weddings, photoshoots or whatever. But ultimately everyone should do with their face as they wish. I don't care if you spend 3 hours in the morning doing your makeu or not. As I have said earlier, I, like most people, won't even realize you have makeup on as I won't stare at your face. So, just do whatever makes you happy as long as you don't harm anyone else with it.

All jokes aside, I really love this and I love that Ben was comfortable enough to do this let alone letting millions of people seeing it. I love that Cristine decided to do a drag look, and also did a fair amount of research on how the makeup is done before diving in, because she could have easily just haphazardly put on makeup to mimic drag makeup and called it a drag look. I appreciate that she put time and effort into it, I appreciate that she made conscious choices and added representation while still having her fun and sprinkling in her humor. Truly one of my favorite videos on her channel!
