@cayk481 - all depends on info. Those are low level scammers. But for example some more sofisticated may have been, or are IT contractors. Quite good ones too. Jumping from one contract to another one in places such as Bank of England, Bank of Tokyo, Investec, TFL, Centrica (British Gas), Morgan Stanley, AIG, Sony, anything to do with a health service, oe even education (high level universities) and more - can give them access to a lot of customer info (depending on the project work of course). Basically transfer the content of the database to some usb stick (as it is suprising how many of those places don't have good practical security, just the one that looks good on paper).

Once when they called me I told the lady on the phone to stop calling and she was immediately pissed off, yelling "I WILL CALL YOU AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN!!" and I was like "..ok... so what if I call the police?" and she just went "NO, I WILL CALL THE POLICE!!!". What always shocks me with these people is how rude they are when you accuse them of being scammers. They're fully aware of what they're doing, they're the ones in the wrong in the situation, and yet they are rude to and berate the other person, as if WE'RE the bad ones?

I worked at a call centre. If you preform every action right and you are a legitimate company, you won’t have to defend your own actions especially when someone calls you a scammer. Every call gets monitored for quality check, which is why you often hear the disclaimer for every phonecall saying this call is being recorded, It acts as evidence for safety and scoring, Not only would freaking out make you and the company your representing look bad, but people only freak-out and start acting defensive because they are guilty on their end. They may be monitored based on how many scams they successfully made, but because their not following tight legislations/regulation that companies have to follow; It allows them to say whatever they want to say when they find out the other person isn’t falling for their BS. Which often explains their ill mannerism or dumb moments like these. Legit companies will try use soft-spoken techniques to diffuse the aggravated customer/citizen or provided 3-warnings for misconduct from customers such as abusive behaviour/language. Of course every company is different, but none will ever act like the scam callers Even though there are certain sensitive data the company requires, they must, by law follow the standard procedure to ensure their data is protected, as for the company I worked for, that was pausing the recording when we took their card payment, we have to also announce it aswell. Though irrelevant, we also were not allowed to have pens or pencils at our desk, just to further protect protect others.

And also the legal system that (in some places) just doesn’t work right. It’s a sad reality of the poorer communities that crime is very prevalent due to their circumstances, and the amount of poverty in India creates the perfect environment for awful stuff like this to pop up.

Authorities in India take a cut, they only step in if their corruption could be exposed on a global stage. I lived there for 2 years, and the police actually had traffic stops where you had to pay 500 rupees as a bribe to pass. That’s the standard bribe price.

Your videos are awesome, my friends grandma was scammed once and she lost around $1,500. Luckily my friend caught on before she could wire more money. Having their own bank information, I probably would of emptied them out or sell it to someone else. I have so much respect for you. Because of what you are doing, your showing people what to look out for and saving people from losing money.

Google should be responsible for supporting scammers, tbh. They don't check stuff when someone makes a fake Amazon ad? They just want money, huh? They even deliberately will break a law for that. We need Google to be held responsible for any ads that support scammers. Period. EDIT: Also your operation was literally some kind of anime hacker hacking into a bad guy account. Like Death Note, but more about hacking than psychological fight. The ending was like him panicking "Masaka! How did you get my information!?" and you were so calm. That was amazing.
