I just want to say, some of these ideas are good, but the parts in Super Mario Maker interact with other parts, therefore there are lots of combinations, mechanisms, setups. That’s why the game doesn’t get stale too fast. Some of the items in this video wouldn’t make sense. Like Plessie wouldn’t have much mechanic variety. I enjoyed this video.

I liked a lot of your choices, here's my thoughts 2. The Statue Leaf seems to be invalidated by the Large Goomba Shoe and the Tanooki Leaf 3. It seems a bit annoying to be able to configure what Yoshi drops after eating berries, because then it might end up being a Spiny or a Rotten Mushroom or something... so, what if berries always functioned as pink coins 4, 5, 6. I like the watermelon, but wat's the point of the fire/ice melons??? 12. As fun as the Mega Mushroom would be, it's functionally identical to the rainbow star, so... 14. I honestly like this idea a lot, Baby Yoshis actually seem to fit really well in Mario Maker! Imagine them eating a bunch of Pirahna Plants 17. You just described the Empty Buzzy Beetle Shell 18. They should only be available in levels where the timer is already low, otherwise you could just make an infinitely-long level 20. So, what's so special about having that, if you _literally just said_ it'd have the same use cases as the Link suit - 23. I think this one would work really well! Imagine having an enemy that throws a POW Block and kills all other enemies 25. I like this one too! Mario Maker needs more enemies that don't move horizontally 26. Broozer might fit the role better, maybe? 28. This one reminds me of a friendly Lava Bubble, and I like that 29. Rexes are conceptually very fun to play with, imagine if there was a variant that chased Mario and had more health 31. If you could put pink coins inside of enemies, you could do something similar by just putting Fire Pirahna Plants on top of moving blocks 33. It might be a bit hard to design levels with these fellows, it seems hard to predict where their feet will land 34. There aren't enough beach-themed course parts, but if you need something that _functions_ the same, go for the Bullet Bill cannon 35. Angry Wiggler. That's all I need to say 36. Seems too similar to Spike 37. I love that you literally described why this idea wouldn't work 38. Aw yeah, I like this one! Imagine it defeating enemies for you 39. why - 41. I like this one too! I have two more: Maybe you could put a flying goal pole gizmo so that for example, you will think that this level is quick but the goal pole is flying so you have to chase it 2. This is great idea, so maybe add two level options, the normal level and a KO arena. So maybe just like Mario Wonder, You can add some enemies you want and then there is a custom timer and you can add maybe 1-10 rooms per level and then there is a mark at the top of the screen so you can see how many enemies are left for you to defeat

I think a big thing I'd want for SMM3 is to have theme-exclusive things from other games not be theme-exclusive. Stuff like Yoshi being in SMB1, the power-ups, pretty much everything exclusive from 3D World going into the other themes and vice versa. That would be awesome.

A Paper Mario power-up would be great. It could look like a paper Mario’s hat it could have a hammer attack for the y button it would act like link’s sword but it squishes small enemies (goomba, koopa, spiny, etc.) if you press up and y you could do the hammer spin from TTYD it could launch bosses away it would defeat the smaller enemies. When you jump on an enemy he could bounce on the enemy and if you timed your “a” press to do a “stylish” bounce from TTYD. Then maybe if you got an item like the fire flower your next y press could use the fire flower item from TTYD. That’s all I can think of you can say any other ideas below
