Things wrong with this video: 1. Coke and mentos only make about as much pressure as being 4ft under water, not nearly enough to break glass jars from the inside 2. You should use dry ice next because it releases co2 slowly giving you enough time to screw the lid on good. 3. Most jars are air tight, you just need to screw the lid on good lmao

If the phone is in a fluid the pressure of the fluid will not be that much higher than the fluid normally. It's air pressure which builds up

You need a strong and totally sealed container i.e. a metal one. A glass jar won't work as the iPhone glass is much stronger than normal household glass.

You didn't plan this through well. You should've have figured out a seal and also a mechanism like magnets to avoid the mentos coming into contact with the soda until after it was fully closed.
