What makes many artists in the Philippines become successful is the support they get from other artists. There is mutual admiration and they learn from one another because they love music. Early in their careers they were not as good with breath control or pitch or style or whatever. Sure, they may do it professionally but many of them are not out there to crush competition or treat music like business. That's why they get better and better.

Hi Guys, you fully know that they're individual Artists but made a collab just for the heck of this cover. BTW, regarding the Pilipino way of pronouncing English; our English is American English since we're taught in 1901 (American Thomasites) and we're colonized by the Americans in 1898 -1946. Our Constitution has Tagalog (Pilipino) and English as our National Languages. And American English is taught from Kindergarten to College. In all of Asia, including Europe the Philippines has the best Diction/Accent in speaking American English. You already noticed it in all of the Pilipino Artists you've reacted to. India was once favored by the BPOs (Business Process Outsourcing) but since then the Philippines is now the Call Center of Asia if not the world. Many Linguists say that the Philippines (Tagalog) has the most Neutral Accent/Diction. Tnx for your all out support for Pilipino Artists/Singers. Waiting for your Philippine Vlogs once you arrive. Yeah, this is dubbed. Usually, we can tell when we see the amount of effort and movements on the face and muscles in the neck with respect to the vocal output we hear plus the synchronicity of the lips. Great observation of the positioning of that condenser microphone and the acoustic treatment of their recording room. Filipinos have the term "plakado" meaning they try to sound exactly the same as the radio studio version of the songs they cover. Great job GidKidDad!

Filipino singers don't usually have vocal coaches.. only rich folks can have that luxury.. usual training will just be having fun in karaoke since child.. 😅

I’m an old expat who is learning to appreciate OPM music by todays generation thru Gidkiddad. As a BTS fan, I was their subscriber even before I knew SB19, Morisette or G22. Kaya yung mga nag hahasik ng duda sa genuineness ng GKD, tama na muna kayo. Enjoyen nyo na lang ang maka ka-aliw sa inyo o huwag na ninyo silang sundan para huwag ma-asar yung subscribers na nakaka-appreciate sa kanila. I’ve actually found that friends (of my age) living in the Phil don’t know about these young generation of artists. So yes, GKD has a wider reach in areas including Pinoys all over the world and I’m glad they are covering these artists that help us reconnect to our birthplace.

I stopped watching reactions for a while but when I checked your videos, I can't stop watching coz I keep laughing and find your reactions hilarious. I appreciate that you are reacting to local Filipino artists, it is quite difficult to make a name in music here, you really have got to be exceptional to impress Pinoys. But you should also see unadulterated raw talents from the Philippines like the ones singing in drinking sessions, or in streets, or malls - like no rehearsals, no good mics or sound effects. Hoping to see you react more to performances (not interviews :-))
