I must say of all the next day coverage being film and produced GK Pro is the cleanest. Not that I don't love Jomez, Gatekeeper or ParSave, it's the work around not using 8 cameras for each player putting.

This course is so cool. It really limits the lines, but also some pretty far distances sometimes. All of the pros are getting challenged. Great footage and commentary also

Love the content and commentary. Now my new favorite production company putting out disc golf footage. I don’t care for the camera on the gimbal. When it moves, it looks too unnatural. I would prefer to see the natural hand-held movements.

Eagle is -2 on a hole, so yes. Birdie is -1 of course. -3 on a hole is an albatross. I don't think anyone has ever aced a par 5, so no term for -4.

I think they need to close this course down for a year and bring in a butt load of dirt manure and mulch to cover up all the roots and save these trees before this course dies anymore than it is.

Long past time to due away with 2 meter rule. It's not needed especially when alot of times players are already punished with being out of position or having hard recovery shots plus having a stroke penalty is just too much.
@dickiebrewer12323 жыл бұрын
Complaining about the 2 meter rule is like complaining about driving on the left in England. It is what it is. If you don't like it, don't play. otherwise, good video. Thanks.
@dolantremp3 жыл бұрын
This analogy makes no sense. Switching an entire country to drive on the other side of the road would likely cost billions of dollars and require tons of construction, plus there isn't really any incentive to do so. Removing the 2m rule on the other hand requires literally 0 effort and benefits players and spectators alike. This is not a case of "it is what it is." It's a stupid rule that needs to be changed.
@dickiebrewer12323 жыл бұрын
@@dolantremp Why would you argue with someone's comment? It's just my opinion. It may not make sense to you, but maybe you didn't read it thoroughly. So to be clear, if you go to England, they have a rule, "we drive on the left", much like the rule in Cali, "we use the 2 meter rule". If you go to England, you must drive on the left. If you go to Cali, you must use the 2 meter rule. I would say that is pretty clear and a spot-on analogy mate. I would hazard a guess that most people don't even know the specific reason the rule was instituted in the first place. Regardless, by your reasoning, why don't we eliminate OB lines; it would take literally 0 effort and benefit the players and spectators alike.
@dolantremp3 жыл бұрын
My point was that unlike the "drive on the left rule," the 2m rule can easily be changed. OB is a different story as it is generally well defined and punishes bad shots while rewarding good ones. The 2m rule on the other hand is completely random as seen many times throughout the coverage of this tournament. Sure there may situations in which a certain hole could benefit from using 2m rule as a form of OB, for example if there are 1 or 2 trees in the middle of an open fairway. However for wooded courses like Dela it just doesn't make any sense, and saying "well that's just how it is in California" is not a good justification. As for your point about the origin of the rule, looking into it actually makes it even less compelling, as from what I understand the height of 2 meters was chosen completely arbitrarily and was only put in place because some dude thought disc golf needed more centralized rules. With that said, I don't really care to argue about this, and you're certainly entitled to your opinion. I just didn't agree with your take that there is no reason to complain about the 2m rule. After all, there must have been a pretty good reason for PDGA to make it optional.
@dickiebrewer12323 жыл бұрын
@@dolantremp Some OB, yes. Alot of OB is whatever the TD defines it to be. Sometimes they go to extremes to lay out ropes, stripes, etc. for man-made OB to make the course harder. Doesn't this fit your category? You still didn't answer the question about why the rule was initiated in the first place. when you actually know, you won't think the rule is so bad (for that area).
@dickiebrewer12323 жыл бұрын
@@dolantremp Keep in mind that I am on your side. I think the rule is arbitrary and doesn't help the game in today's climate and should have been removed in 2006 when the rules were rewritten. All I'm saying is that since it's up to the TD, and everyone playing the tournament knows ahead of time if the rule is or is not in effect, there should be no complaining by the players OR the commentators when it happens. Discussion is healthy, and I thank you for your viewpoint.

@@earlthomas6295 Yes, cause Cali is just overflowing with communists. Every time I go there it reminds me so much of Stalin's soviet Russia I can't believe it! Terrible cars, dark cold winters, government cheese, and farmers having to give all their crops up for nothing in return. Damn, why would anyone ever want to go there?
