Yo Brad and Nate and GK! Love the coverage! PS Brad, the word you’re looking for is footage not yardage
The quality of the coverage, sadly, is let down by the quality of the commentary. This course looked like a blast, and some of the shots were amazing, but all I could focus on was the dry overly analytical drumming on about the square root of a discs angle in the headwind when you're hips aren't engaged because your disc is too new to get the right spin off a short teepad on a dead straight 180' shot for 30 thousand dollars.

Can we get some more background on that Bradley Williams winning the first ever PDGA event, jokes or what? And props on the random bushnell distances, howd yall keep track of that? On private courses, they have to be way smaller than these, but, Jamul near San Diego has two full 18 hole amazing private disc golf courses. I have a genuine question. Not sarcasm. So hole 17 that is a Par 3 186ft seems like an ideal candidate to just stand still and treat it as an upshot. Is doing a “run” up just a comfort thing for Mason? I just feel like standing still would just help with not going OB deep like he did.
@dr05guitar3 жыл бұрын
I'm willing to bet on the comfort thing. I feel like I've watched a lot of footage of pros doing a run-up of some kind on some pretty short shots, even if it's just a one-step

I'm not sure whether Bradley is right or wrong, but his hatred for this course got annoying. Power control is part of the game. There is nothing unfair about hole 17. Get your 2 and move on. There shouldn't be anything hard about it. But it isn't TOO easy. If you played hole 17 all 18 holes, and shot -18, you'd have shot a higher rated round than anyone's current rating. Get your birdie, and move on.

This course looks fun. Nate, great job as always. Bradley, I love watching you play...and hearing your comments on the course throughout the round footage. I think you're too honest for commentary... or maybe loosen up a bit, I don't know. But it's apparent you don't like this track, over analyze certain aspects of it, and come down really hard on yourself, etc. If I'm being honest, it was watching a round with a dude who was pissed off the entire time. Maybe tomorrow with you on chase will be better, that way you don't have to comment on yourself, who knows? Also, you might want to refrain from using vagina exercise references when throwing shorter shots, not a good look bro. Especially because every man wishes they had something that powerful.

Comments like this make me think twice about the disc golf community. Smoke some bud, sit back and enjoy the coverage. I'm trying to be done with the comment section!

@@eggward5094 How do you pull an anger out of that?
@eggward50943 жыл бұрын
@@smtx11 read back your comment and how you try to over analyze someone's commentary when that is not even their job and yet you still have reasons to complain instead of just enjoying disc golf coverage. Also turning it into some man vs women complex which is more weird than just Bradley making a joke, which apparently you dont understand from the comment you posted.
@smtx113 жыл бұрын
@@eggward5094 Read it back, still find it fine. I was giving a critique, which at the end of the video they asked for. I never said I didn't enjoy it. And to be fair Bradley's joke made no sense. I'm by no means offended by it, just thought it was a really odd place to say something like that. It wasn't funny, didn't make any sense, and seemed like he was referring to himself as a "pussy" which in reality that word has nothing to do with a women. It comes from "pusillanimous" meaning soft. So again, his reference, either doesn't make sense, or is kinda offensive. Acting like he needed to workout his mangina for some sort of shot. Which goes back to my critique that he was constantly putting himself down. I like his insights, but it seems he has a hard time separating his feelings of his own game, with his commentary. And lastly, if you're doing commentary, that is one of your jobs. They get paid to do it, and choose to do it, and asked how they did. I answered. Sorry my opinion differs from yours I guess.

Very strange said from Bradley: Can't he throw so short as 50 meters? I have no problems to adjust my speed. I have new discs. Bullshit commentary from him!
@MCGIESEKE3 жыл бұрын
@@JonReid01 I think he's referring to hole #17. It's basically a putter upshot, not too much of a challenge and I don't think you "have to" throw a disc from 30yrs ago to "get the right spin"

Hole 17: Bradleys talking about having to go around because it too challenging to go up the center because discs are designed to well now. What a bunch of BS. Been playing for a year and I can go out and land a 180ft upshot in the circle just about every time, LHBH or LHFH. Gimme a break. Quit overthinking easy holes, just throw the dang putter up there
@rosspalmer36723 жыл бұрын
I'm not so keen on Brad's commentary style. He keeps giving away how the shot will play out before it's thrown, so we don't get a chance to be surprised or experience the excitement of shots. Nor do we get to guess the type of shots about to be played and how well they will do, we keep getting told in advance
