Nicely done as usual Mario! At least I get to see Glacier from your ride since mine was a bust in that department. You definitely got some great weather.

@mld Hay, I don't have a luggage system but I do own 3 Mosko bags. Backcountry 40, Scout 60L duffel and a Scout 25L duffel. I also have a medium top case as well. I have plenty of storage. I'll never use all the bags at the same time.....
@kennethvernonprivate6 жыл бұрын
@mld Ya I suppose so. I had a KLR so anything that would cause wind drag was a issue (low horse power). So I decided on a setup of my own that would sit length wise on the bike (rear rack and pillion portion of the seat). Its a narrower setup vs. hard panniers +/- 40". I'd go with the Mosko goodies. My bags are bullet proof! Awesome quality! Never have I seen better..

The higher the elevation, the less octane you need. I ran my POS Triumph Tiger on 85 octane (it normally takes 87) and I got 63 mpg out of it. Great video BTW. Not sure if I could do it though. I hate heights. I was unable to do Bear Tooth Pass a few years ago. Those huge drop offs make my head spin.

Pretty impressive scenery; Going to the Sun Road is one I haven't seen yet personally. Nice shots of the ski jump hills!
@2WR6 жыл бұрын
One the few roads you won't mind going slow on because that just gives you more time to take in the scenery.

You were up in Snowcat country. Great video, as usual. It's gotta be tough to decide what footage to use and what to leave out.

Appreciate it. It's definitely quite the process to edit it down to a video of this length. I think there was between 2-3 hours worth of footage shot that day.

What a views Mario incredibly National Park!! I need to go there my super adventure R has 9000 miles of adventures and going for more your videos inspire me to travel further btw Calgary is the city where the camel-adv company build and sells accessories like the famous camel aux tank for our Ktm I bought it and it works perfectly especially for my bike that has a smaller tank than yours. Cheers waiting for more videos !!!

Just ordered your book and have a quick question. Is two weeks doable for a MA to Colorado and back to MA trip? I’ve done the Nashville/Blue Ridge trip a few times so 8 hrs a day on a bike is fine. Prefer secondary roads vs highway when possible. Like Rt219 in your state.
@2WR6 жыл бұрын
Saw, the order come through and I'll get it all packaged up when I get back to my office, Thanks! As for your question, yes; it's definitely doable. You're probably looking at 5,500+ miles for your trip which would bring you out to about 400 miles a day.

I hate to say it but you ain't Nickey Hayden son. That being said awesome video series again. Glacier Park looked fantastic. Unfortunately my job keeps me busy from April through November so it's nice to see it from at least your motorcycle if not mine.

My undercut is still just too short for the "wolftail" look by a few cm. So close! Should be there by January, and it swoops to the side nicely in the meantime

Hi Mario 👋 Would you do Glacier Montana or million dollar and Utah? Looking to head out from the east beginning of Sept Thanks paesano take care 😀

Good question and depends how much time you have. I'd probably pick Glacier since I just rode Million Dollar Highway and Utah last year 😂. Honestly, can't go wrong with either.

How many miles has the 1290 done now & how has it effected the bike ,if at all? Sorry just watched all of it & you mentioned 33,000 KMs.

You nailed it right on the head.. you have to go see it yourself. There is no camera invented yet that can come close. Still gorgeous on video though..

Yeah, it was cool to kinda go back and relive it while I was editing but still a must see in person.
