We were there just over a week ago and the hidden Lake Trail was closed due to bear activity. A mountain goat poked out of the woods less than 10 yards away from me on the way to the lookout

Bummer! The first day we went it was actually closed as well, maybe it was the same day 🤷 Then when we went back a few days later it was open, but made sure we still had our bear spray! 😆

Do you know how to tell the difference between black bear scat and grizzly bear scat? ... Grizzly bear scat contains bear bells.
