I'm just finding your vlog and doing some binge watching. You guys are so fun to watch! I just had to comment on the part of this episode where you talk about how wonderful older dogs are. We only adopt senior dogs, wanting to give them loving homes in their last years after watching our first dog pass away from cancer. Our hearts break at the thought of so many sweet senior dogs not having the love they deserve. We just adopted our last two in February, a brother and sister pair who lost the only owner they have known to cancer. Missy, age 10, is a toy poodle and Cocoa, age 11, is a beagle mix and they are both so sweet and loving and we hate the thought that they would not be kept together.

I don't have a solution for scenting your clothes but I pour a cup of white vinegar in my wash and it neutralizes any odors. It's also good if you leave the clothes in the washer and they start smelling moldy. Baking soda about 1/2 cup does the same thing. Maybe you can run a small fan in your closet to circulate the air in there

You could try putting (clean ☺️) cat litter into a bowl, and place that in a back corner of your closet, it's supposed to bind smells and moisture... Haven't tried myself but sounds like it could work 🙂

1/2 cup in vinegar in the rinse cycle for a large load. I thought it would cause the clothes to smell like vinegar, but it doesn't at all. It removes any lingering smells on fabric.

You can get dried lavender and put them in little mesh bags, then if you put them in with your clothes it can help the smells. You can probably use other dried herbs and flowers depending on what smells you prefer, but it could make for a fun home DIY thing to do. You just have to remember to refresh the stock every now and then 😊

Ok so you grab a cheese cloth and you add baking soda and lavender, peppermint, pieces of lemon zest or whatever sent you like and you put it all in the cheese cloth tie it up real good and add to your washer you can even dry it all the heat of the dryer will enhance the scents into your clothes.

Definitely try essential oils in laundry detergent and then add a few drops on a wool ball for drying. Make sure you buy good brands for essential oils. Like Young Living, Plant Therapy, or Revive because their oils are more concentrated and will make a huge difference compared to the ones off amazon.

Cedar pegs. They sell little pieces of cedar wood to hang in your closet. Mostly it's to repel moths. But it makes the closet smell soooo good
