And Pedro's character, Acacius, is married (or at least very attached) to Lucilla, one of the reasons Lucius despises him aside from Acacius most likely being the one that captured Lucius in the first place.

He joins his wife and son at the end of the first one in the afterlife at least that is os what l took from it that is why he sees them in at the end of the gladiator its a sad story it does not ruin gis character and his story l liked his atory if rising up and defeating the emporoer at the end even after the sad thing that happened at the beginning if gladiator to him

There isn’t just one black person in This film Djimon Honsou who was a slave in the first Gladiator is reprising his role, the lead Irish actor Paul Mescal will be a Force in this movie , his tv series normal people showed he is one for the future incredible young actor ! Shame about the music choice for the trailer and not using the original score by Hans Zimmer

I'm with you guys, I'm going to see ANYTHING Pedro Pascal is in, I adore him, but this looks really good, I'm a huge history buff and yes, they did flood the Colosseum and have water battles! Not looking forward to seeing now extinct animals being used in this way, but they did do it. Roman emperors were truly horrific people.

I definitely think it didn't need a sequel, the story needs to make sense for it to work, the cast looks great and capable but it'll come down to story. Denzel looks like he may be fun and enjoyed it, it'll be Training Day - Rome edition LOL 😆 and hoping there's a Grogu/baby Yoda easter egg on Pedro's armor! 😂

Agreed! Gladiator had such an incredible ending…it’s going to be hard to top that one. I guess in Ridley Scott we trust? If I had to choose anyone to direct, he’d definitely be in the running. The cast does look awesome and anytime Pedro puts on the armor, we are so here for it 🤣 I actually can’t believe how good Denzel looks too! He’s killing it. Thanks for watching Sal! You can’t have an American accent in a gladiator movie. Just makes zero sense. Hell, even the kid who played Lucious in the 1st Gladiator, a 13 year old kid from NY, was able to do a good accent, as did Joaquin Phoenix, you mean to tell me Denzel couldn’t come up with an accent ? Just doesn’t make sense. Loses all credibility.

This is a valid point. Joaquin did absolutely nail that role for sure. Maybe the trailer just made it look wonky. Hopefully that is the case 😅😅
