Great review Kenny! They leaned too much on the legacy and impact of the first Gladiator. I barely cared about Mescals character - it was just like this is his son, you should care lol. Denzel carried this film for sure. I would've fell asleep without him 😂😂

This movie would be nothing without Denzel. Pedro Pascal did ok but they did him dirty in his last scene. I get that fact he mess up the dude wife and everything but the way he went out. Man that was cold. How are you doing today and how your day? Happy 2025 to you.

I finally saw this recently and this review sums up how I felt about the movie too. Some days I feel it’s good and other days just okay. Not bad overall, just lacking the emotional connection that made the first one such a classic. The direction and visuals were great, it’s the script that could be improved. Agreed that Denzel Washington carried.
