All I hope is that it's good; if not, I am not the one who just wasted 100s of millions. It's down to them to make a worthwhile sequel and as many as they want. They will either work, flop, or people will tire of them.

​​@@bdleo300Ironically enough, the movie has a theme about "circus and bread" to keep the masses satisfied, and that's exactly what the movie does too. This movie didn't need a sequel. Just like Titanic didn't need one. Or Se7en, or The Usual Suspects or Apocalypto etc, etc And it's barely a sequel anyway. It's basically just a rehash of the first one.

Why do they have to reveal that Lucious is Maximus's son in the trailer? I know it was a theory Russel Crowe had brought up in the audio commentary but it's never spelled out in the text of the film so it's not confirmed. I would have loved to see that reveal made by the actors in a great scene, not like this.
