Don"t get the hate for this. Of course it does not compare to the first one but did we really expect it to? It does what it was supposed to do, entertain the crowd. And Ridley Scott has not been this good in decades

An epic film, more intricate than the first. All the cinematic elements, including the heart and soul of all the actors and crew, are such a gift. Grateful for Ridley and his vision, mastery, and stamina.

I wonder how long really those Academy Conversations last, but they gave us 8 minutes with such a huge cast. for some films it's maybe more then enough, but not here. I know that I can watch some other interviews, but I'm particularly interested in this series.

Deserves some kudos! Hopefully gets some nominations! Time is running out to honour Sir Ridley and much like with Scorsese winning for one of his lessar films...he simply has to get it for his career someday before its too late! I mean come on! The man has made films that have influenced entire cinema themes/looks/vibes

The first Gladiator is an epic masterpiece but this one felt like a dull clichéd action movie that didn't live up to its predecessor. Ridley Scott needs to ditch David Scarpa as a screenwriter.

Wrong. You try shooting something like that at 87....that's pretty extraordinary on its own! AND deserves some recognition! Don't just play by the binary rules of why something should be recognised ....zzzz

Brilliant Movie. The good = Cinematography, costumes, soundtrack, story, movie. American accent didn't work, too much plot and not enough emotion e.g. show more Lucilla's pain, joy etc as she has drawn audience in emotionally.
