I just got it and I also killed Talos, but when it said “use ballistas” I though it meant crossbows, then I finally figured out that there were ballistae! Also sick spear smash thingy animation for Talos!

In standard mode, you play against NPC's alone or with your friends. You can also play against your friends with PvP mode.

No, if you play single player, you are on your own. Some Gladiators, like the Grenade Throwers, do AOE damage which means they'll also damage other Gladiators. This can be an effective technique to deal with many enemies when you're outnumbered.

You have to make sure to unlock the settings, turn on multiplayer and after that, restart the world! You should be able now to invite your friends.

Hey unfortunately there is no way to save a level. It's similar to Minecraft Hardcore. On what difficulty are you playing?

Hey Isaac, can you describe the issue a little more? Are you at the lobby above the arena or did the world not install correctly that you can't open the world? If you are in the lobby, make sure to hold on to the signs for a few seconds to get to the next one.

Once you get to the part where you can buy eggs from the smithy just keep buying those to get exp and re sell them back. They sell back for the same price and you get to level up the smithy rest of the way.

Did you try to break his shield? There are ballistas at both sides of the arena that you can use in order to defeat Talos! Good luck!
