+Chloe Yune there really isn't cheap good products. Ben Nye is the best as well as Graftobian. You can save money by purchasing through Amazon. Also some of the basic things like brushes and matte eye shadows, lip liner etc I recommend buying from elf. Especially if you're just starting out.

fun tip for people as broke as me and/or living in a place where even the most basic sfx supplies are hard to come by: mixing lipstick (reds and such to get a blood colour) with Vaseline for scab blood works pretty nicely. The Vaseline makes it the right kind of shiny (I think)and also means you aren't using as much of your lipstick.

AAAAh, I can't believe you have a bear attack tutorial! I'm going to be Goldilocks mauled by the three bears this halloween and was like "I doubt glam and gore has bear attack but maybe something similar." But no. You had exactly what I needed and you're even using 3rd degree which I just bought for the first time. I'm probably not going to be as hard core about this as you because I'm new to 3rd degree but this is literally the perfect tutorial for what I want to achieve. I'm so excited!

It would definitely look better and be easier to apply! But a lot of people who watch my channel have a hard time getting or affording 3rd degree as it is, let alone all the other expensive and hard to find products it takes to make a good mold. :( So this seemed like the best in between way to get the look and help as many people as possible! I'd like to start transitioning into more sculpting and molding looks soon though! :)

I did this on my mom, and the only person who figured out it was fake, was part of a trauma team. She works at an E.R, so she had seen things like that daily and pointed out what looked unrealistic. And I did it with a Wal-Mart Halloween kit!

I always put my silicone in a syringe, of course with out the needle, it gives me a really precise detailed control over the product and use the spatula to shape and fade the edges.

You can add purple to the skin when you do it! A fresh wound like this would likely not look purple (bruised) right away- it would be red and irritated which is why I left the purple out, but feel free to customize your own recreation how you want!
