I'm 66 and I totally agree. Gabi is a wonderful source of positivity for us older gals. Lots of practical, affordable tips which I have been working into my routine. I love looking at someone and seeing their unique beauty and bringing it forward. That is the power of makeup. Making over a 16 year old model is fun but it's not rewarding in the same way for me. That is why I hardly ever use models for my videos. I want the everyday woman to say "I look like that too and I can do that!"

I loved that you kept her hair long. Her hair color and the health of her hair is probably her strongest feature. Most hairdressers would cut it short only because of her age. That would be a crime. Yes!! You are so right about the importance of the lips as we age. I am SOOOO over the “line around the lips and nothing inside” look. Filling in with liner makes all the difference. Not only is she absolutely beautiful but I really love the fact that you didn't do the one thing I hear a lot regarding mature women, and that is, you did NOT cut her hair or give her some bob cut! Mature women look just as beautiful with their long hair as any younger woman. I'm almost 70, and I flaunt my platinum silvers and long hair. I refuse to chop it off for any trend or opinion! Super job! She was already beautiful before you enhanced her looks, but MAN, you nailed it! I totally agree about the lip liner! I have been using the line-n-fill technique for years...adding a gloss or tinted balm or a sheer lipstick. I like Estee Lauder and Revlon. I am trying to find more shades in Revlon as EL costs more than I want to pay. Have to be careful, though, because there are liners out there that do not deposit any color at all. For me, the goal is to find a liner that deposits color yet doesn't bleed or fade with whatever topper I choose.

Love your "under painting technique. I've been doing this with the new Cover Girl Simply Ageless Essence, I love this product! I use foundation over it when I want more coverage. I have rosacea myself but I also have an olive complexion. No corrector has ever helped without making my skin green. I love Cocokind's azelaic acid to help with redness. Gorgeous makeover.
