Janelle speaks like she's performing poetry. It's so rhythmic and lyrical. And her voice is so mellow and smooth! I just love her as a performer and a person.

I had the honor of singing backup for her on The Late Show, and during my soundcheck to see if my mic was good, she said, "Sang, girl!". It's easy to think of famous artists being desensitized to other people's talents, so her taking a moment to build me up while she was having to learn all this choreography the same day meant the WORLD to me and still does. Janelle is the truth!

The first time I heard "Cold War" I started crying at the same time as she does in the video. It's an emotional, yet upbeat song. The only other music that does that to me is Queen.
