I'm a neck pickup guy. That's amazing for under $100 bucks. Great video Tony.

In 2019, I bought a Glarry GST Strat for $50 off of eBay. It arrived needing 3 frets filed and the neck shimmed. But, that was it. For my own tastes, I put in a loaded pickguard that I bout for $20 which had beefier single coil pickups. I was told by 'certain types of people' that the guitar was firewood, junk, and it would fall apart after a year. 2 years later, it's still going strong and I am still making vids with it! It's nicely lightweight and the sound matches EVERY Strat I've played it alongside - no matter the price! A great, affordable, excellent guitar!

Awesome. I'm going to your channel tonight and see if I can find some vids you've done with it.

Great review. I have a super warm double humbucker guitar so I'm looking for something super bright for cheap. This will be nice

I bought the wood colored one got it couple weeks ago. I really like it for what it is. Mine wasn't staying in tune so I put new strings, graphite on the nut and a little grease on the saddle and string tree and it totally fixed it to my surprise. It's good enough for me to invest in some quality pickups. I'm totally pleased.

Thank you Tony for your reviews on your Glarry GTL guitars. I bought the GTL Sunset solid body (eBay $76+tax) same guitar as your review here. It arrived yesterday JUL12-22 via UPS ... includes gig bag, strap, pick, cable, 2 hex keys. Very well packaged, padded in a 1pc styrofoam cutout with 1pc styrofoam lid, inside a 4x16x41 box. The Sunset scheme has no yellow paint ... black to red to transparent wood stain ... looks really nice. This solid GTL only weighs 5.6# ... knock-knock on body ... it's hollow where the F-hole would be. The frets are great, the neck has no finish ... will remove and apply a few thin coats of boiled linseed oil. Will replace the plastic nut, but all else is fine for now ... tuners, bridge, controls, pups ... great project.

Thanks for your input here my friend. Hope it all turns out great after your mods. It's insane to even get a guitar that's playable in this price range, much less one that's actually pretty decent. I still love playing mine. I keep it in my office at work and jam during lunch breaks. Peace!!

I was impressed with both the finish quality and the improved packaging. And the hollowed-out lightweight body is a bonus I hadn't anticipated. Thanks again for your GTL videos . . . helped me make the right choice . . . peace!

To remedy the volume difference between pick ups I raised the neck pup and lowered the bridge to even them out .

That's a two piece maple neck. Separate maple fingerboard, with no "skunk" stripe on back. They were known as a "white neck" when Fender first made them in the sixties. Hello to you in NC. Morganton was formerly my home.

Thanks for watching and commenting. Cool to hear from a former Morgantonian - ha!

Damn Tony the way you're talking about that g l a r r y there you might start making your wife jealous. Lol. They are good guitars I've owned a few g l a r r y s. I like them some of the reviewers hate them they love to put them down but I've always been lucky and gotten a good one and love the sound of it love the way it plays. Enjoyed the video very much. Take care and have a great week.

How do you like it Rob?

The guitar is fine. Eventually I'll go to a Fender. It's just that I'm not sure why. I will probably modify this one first. As is will be fine for a long while Thanks again! For there are too many "reviews" in which the " reviewer" seems to be slanted against the Glarry from the low price on....
