The FEELING of the switches is why I like them. If I didn't wear headphones, the sound would probably annoy me too, but yeah, not an issue for me. I bought a set. I don't know why I bought a set, but I did. 100% agree about that weird feeling like they're sticking - the click bar provides some resistance on the upswing I guess. They are loud. The bump is short and fast - you hit it and you will finish up at the bottom. It's like the bump pushes your finger and the switch the rest of the way home. But they are kinda fun. Typing required a certain amount of certainty - you don't second guess a click with these. I didn't mind the sound as much as I thought. But I'm back to my halos for now. I am waiting to hear what you say about Glorious Pandas ( you did get your promo boxes, didn't you?). Love your videos, keep em coming.

I've had a go playing with Box Jades, Box Whites, and Box Pinks. The Box Whites were too piss weak, not enough tactility (near MX Blue levels). The Box Jades were very tactile, but I experienced what you were saying about them being impossible not to bottom out. I felt like there was a mismatch between how THICC the clickbar was and the somewhat light spring (same as a Box Whites). The Box Jade experience is a bit uneven in comparison, and I think I understand what some users have said about feeling like Jades do not seem return quickly enough (though this doesn't happen, just felt like it could have). The Box Pinks were my favourite of the 3. Very good levels of tactility, and the force required to overcome the spring and clickbar felt well matched, making for an 'even' experience. However I've been ruined by using Cherry MX Blues for so long that I found them slightly fatiguing. I found the solution though. Mod Box Pink switches by switching out the springs with those in Box Whites (as Chyrosran22 suggested). Easily my favourite. They have the excellent tactility of the Box Pinks while not being fatiguing at all. They also maintained that 'even, smooth' feeling I had with the stock Pinks too. The last thing to do is to lube them to reduce the 'spring ping' noise... (kzbin.info/www/bejne/nnqymmumpbp6adE#t=19m50s). So the perfect clicky switch = Kailh Box Pinks modded (springs switched with Box White springs, and lubed).
@anam000903 жыл бұрын
Yup same. But even though modded BOX Pinks felt the best, their sound profile wasn't as good for me, so I ended up going back to just regular BOX Pinks. They have the perfect balance of clickiness tactility and weighting for me. Very underrated switch imho
@Anti3D-02 жыл бұрын
is stock box pinks easier to type on compared to jades? I tried jades and feel that the tactility is too much, like the switch press back at you when you press them, particularly on higher typing speed. Wanted to try pinks but some says they're not very different to the box whites.

Great video, and good editing! I might suggest normalizing your audio though (you can look up how to do that, it's just a few clicks). I chromecasted this to my TV and had to keep turning the audio up and down. And for parts you want to be comedically loud, you can use a compression effect (this gives the impression of loudness without actually affecting peak audio amplitude)!
