I'm in Canada. I visited my granny in Bridgeton so many times as a child. She lived on Redan Street. My mom grew up on Nuneaton Street and then Redan St. Does anyone remember Aldo's fish and chips on Orr St right across from the Olympia? Great memories.

Thanks for the memories. In the late 80’s I used to live in a flat on corner of Duke Street and Westercraigs which was right opposite Bellgrove Street. It was pretty noisy what with the meat works across the road and the hospital and brewery next door as well. Moved to Eastehouse after that-Lochdochart Road then Australia for the last 33 years. Cheers Neil

Easterhouse to Australia bet you were super excited back 33 years ago neil,,, thankyou for watching,,ive done a few videos on Easterhouse

I’ve enjoyed the ones on Easterhouse too. My dad and my nana were moved out to Wardie Road in Easterhouse in the 50’s when their tenement in Gourley Street Springburn was demolished. Australia has been a good place to raise a family but it was hard leaving family and friends behind and starting a new life on the other side of the world

Wow, that was amazing. Bridgeton sure has changed, with all the new builds, I didn't recognise most of the places. Thank you for filming the Sacred Heart Church, that's where my grandparents were married ❤ Still don't know where Pentland Place & French Street were, I believe they are no longer there, but would you know where they used to be?
