@@williamcassidy9755 Defo its weird listening to them 85-2007 days , same as English fellers stories. So many people i knew and know hearing the names makes memories flood back. Too many guid boys no here nae mare. Met so many Glesga boys in Bar-Longriggen etc later on fae Woodhill-Dartmoor-Wanno-Brixton and even a Killie boy in Exeter lol who had a set of tools. Love this channel tae. Jama i knew fae Gorbals Queen Liz at first then next door in C Wing later on but so say no mare man i liked him., from street and then in Bar later.

Always enjoy the Paul Ferris episodes, because of the sincerity. I've read and heard plenty of old timers who could learn from this approach. If you've lived the life that a lot of them have there's no need to embellish stuff, because it gets to the point where it sounds ridiculous - most people can spot BS when they hear it...even if they've never lived that life. Keep it simple and honest, (within reason of course) and the listener/reader becomes more engaged. That's my opinion anyway. Regarding the "glamourisation of criminality" on here, have these people never watched an action film? A gangster film? A heist/robbery film? Plenty of books, films, TV shows and music DOES glamourise criminality, but the mainstream audience laps it up. One liners and Dean Martin songs while someone is being horrifically ended - is that more acceptable than a true crime KZbin channel? You keep doing what you're doing - you've grown into a more confident storyteller - you're in the know - players trust you with their stories, and you keep it real. I can't say that I've ever heard anything glamorous on hear - just stories, and it's up to us to take what we want from them. Take care, and keep it up.

Good stuff Mr E as usual but a refreshing change and a piece a lot of people who have lived 'The life' (in whatever form & level) can connect and identify with because its "real life" we all have another person inside us and a different life from crime, grafting, even just lads down the pub life! It's the best side of us saved for the most loved people in our lives (that are more than often straightpeckers free of all that sh💩t) So yeah great piece with a bit of fun which cane across well pal, excellent channel your raising, growing well with a the rite qualities. And as for people asking why you do it? Well why do people collect used stamps, you can't use them and the person on 99.9% of them are deceased! Well my friends it's no different,it's called passion and keeping something alive that people want aswel as educating! Or do you have to be an ex prison pschycologist to be a criminologist and people be OK with it! Ignorance snobbery and in some cases (I don't like to say this..but) people who live with there mums and play too many games and watch porn for 2minutes everyday get a sweat on then go on there keyboard with there 'last of the No-econs' knickers on thinking who to troll before mummy shouts them for there last breastfeed of the night 😂 they probably collect rare 'milk tokens' 🎫 Take care Ben good stuff your putting out!

I grew up in Queenslie wae James. And I'm still best of friends with his brother Frazer. Jaimba, was one of the most dangerous men Glesga's ever seen. And aw the wee fanny's saying this n that about him, in a disparaging way. Believe me in the 80,s 90,s and early 00's if you knew that man was on you, you'd have ran like wee lassies for yer life. And I don't give a fuck who ye are! And if ye didn't know he was on ye. You would soon fuckin find out! All that aside he was a great pal to have. Fuck I'm nearly 50 and I still remember with great pride the first time James let me in on a turn with him and a few of the other "auld mob". We tanned an offsales. And emptied it. I mean EMPTIED. It turned out the old locked up house we went back and forward to with all that booze was the house me n my wee ma were moving into days later. We only found that out because after the booze was all sold me n my pal John boy decided to rip out the boiler and all the copper pipes out the wall!😂 My Ma went fuckin NUTS!!! Anyway that's who me n John boy looked upto, Jaimba. And if you were a budding young criminal back then you could've looked to alot worse eg. The licensee and his bad of snitches batches. Nah...no thanks bro. We recognised the real, simple...Jaimba McLean R.I.P ma brother. Wee Mick
