So wonderful. Before I started creating music I was a sculptor myself. I had a studio full of art. But over the years music completely took over. However It has always been my dream to make stained glass. I have been setting up my stained glass studio the last few months. And during the time I am not playing melodies ill be in the studio mastering my glass skills. What you have done here is amazing and inspiring to me. And I hope you take it as a compliment when I say I would like to emulate some of your work. (not copy) but take notes of your style. Keep up the good work you have a new fan in me. Have a great day.

Hi Joseph, What a wonderful artist you are! I’ve never seen anyone making 3D sculptures like yours. They are amazing! Thank you for sharing! This also left me puzzled - how on earth did you join those glass sculptures in the wooden frames? It seems really tricky to get that precision for rod holes if you inserted the ready-made sculpture into the frame. Or did you build the sculpture into the frame? How did you manage that? All best wishes to you!
@JosephFerguson-tu8ug
@JosephFerguson-tu8ug 7 ай бұрын
I build the frame the size needed for the composition usually 6 inches deep. Holes are drilled into. The frame the diameter of brass rod of a thickness necessary to support the composition : industrial brass rod can be found any diameter I n. 10 foot length. I hope to give more information via video . Thanks for your interest, Joe f

Just amazing! I’m curious how you made the bronze wire go into your base, what is the base material? Keep coming up with more video 😊
@JosephFerguson-tu8ug
@JosephFerguson-tu8ug 8 ай бұрын
My bases are blocks of stone or heavy wood, I build the sculptures in averticl position ,, as a painter would paint a picture. I use brass rod, obtained from an industrial supplier, diameters around 1 eight dia. easily bent. I hope to have more pieces on Utube. Courage. its worth the anxiety.
@aussiemachandmadeeverything
@aussiemachandmadeeverything 9 ай бұрын
Hi Joseph So they are copper rods not tubing and what do you use to bend it in shapes because its quite strong, & i am not 😂
@JosephFerguson-tu8ug
@JosephFerguson-tu8ug 8 ай бұрын
You can get brass rod in various diameters of thickness, from and industrial supplier, I would reccomend I eighth, or sizes around that, under of over. You will be able to bend these by hand, ,, I am 94 as the 15th of this month and no muscle builder. I will be showing more three dimensional sculptures that might help. Working with glass this way is direct like painting and thrilling, so keep it up, Joe

@JosephFerguson-tu8ug
@JosephFerguson-tu8ug 8 ай бұрын
I would have agreed with you, was reluctant to use plastic, but as I esplaine in the wind sculpture video, plastic is less threatening to exhibitions. It is also lighter than glass and allows one to build less support. But nothing is as exciting a s glass. thanks and build big things. Joe
