Dude, I watch your vids! Keep'em comin'! I've always loved to see glassblowers do their thing! Now, this industry is being revived in a different and fantastic manner that brings a new kind of art to glass! Thanx 27boy1 and all the glassblowers or soon to be glassblowers for your efforts to keep this trade alive! Also, congrats on the level of completion on your setup! Look's like you'll be up and runnin' in no time! Maybe I can coerce you into a custom bong for "TheeBudGuru"! LOL! Peace!

when your cleaning off the bubble formed from the tube on each side of the ring, what mm rod are you using to clean it off, and would you usually go elbow down when cleaning off the bubble like that? im having trouble taking excess off the faces of my pendants and would love some help :)

Question if I may. Ok a lot of glass blowers make glass Wigwag pipes for people/stoners to smoke out of. My Brother wants to know if you could possibly make a square Wigwag Ashtray and have 4 notches on each of the 4 sides to hold cigarettes like regular ashtrays?

Is there any type of glassblowing/lampworking that I can try that does NOT require a kiln for annealing?I'd like to try some tubework,figurines,marbles/bulbs,but am on disability so can't really afford one,or have a place to put it.Thank You
@foresttop409 жыл бұрын
+Bowtie41 You can pop it between some fibre blanket for awhile....that will help. It will be more sensitive to thermal shock though...don't use this method for wearable glass.

@eloo419 жыл бұрын
i always wonder how hot the glass is after u take away from flame for a few second. And how much it take time if u can touch the glass with bare hands wit no damage to yourself. * is there a glass u put to the water for cooling? or it always will break :) Answer if u can. Amazing video after all. :)
@macnudd9 жыл бұрын
+Andrzej Strzelba As a Scientific Glassblower with over 26,000 hours of hot glass experience. The answer to "Can you put hot glass in water or will it break?" Have you seen vases with broken crinkles all over it and the out side is smooth? They put the vase is water and it breaks the outside of the glass and then they rush to put it back in the furnace to refuse the outside of the vase. Simple answer is almost all glass will break when hot and water is applied to it. Glass breaks because of stress. The stress can be from a number of sources, heat, mechanical, and chemical, and even differences of expansion rates from different types of glass. I hope that helps.

What size blowtube are you using looks big
@LickMyGlass4 жыл бұрын
Pretty sure it was a 19mm. A 16mm would be good too. Having a bigger blowtube helps with sizing the ring, but what's most important is what you are most comfortable with. Try some different sizes and let me know how it goes.
