Hugh Grant cameos as Phillip, Blanc's domestic partner,. Joseph Gordon-Levitt voices Miles's clock, the Hourly Dong; Several celebrities make cameo appearances as themselves, including Stephen Sondheim, Angela Lansbury, Natasha Lyonne, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Yo-Yo Ma, Jake Tapper, and Serena Williams. Sondheim and Lansbury both died before Glass Onion was released, and the film is dedicated to both of them.

One minor but fun detail, the friend asks Miles “you didn’t burn it?” And when Miles actually burns the napkin he points at him and smiles. He LITERALLY doesn’t have an original idea the whole movie

@@Jen-Momthe two of them chose female designers from small African villages to create every piece of clothing that she wore in this film. It not only made those individual families money, but they each started lines that donate to their local villages. She talked about how she didn’t mind playing an arrogant airhead- but in reality this was filmed and released during a world pandemic, and there is nothing less like her PERSONAL character than the one she was playing. She also did not take a wage in this film, every dime was donated. When people asked her why she was acting she simply said, “Again, it was a pandemic. I would’ve made sure everyone on my team was paid, but every film employs thousands of people- down to the lunch we eat everyday. Sometimes, you don’t realize that you going to work, keeps others at work. Plus, entertainment is important, especially when the world is in chaos.” It takes a lot to be one of my favorite people, mostly because people are jerks. She definitely makes the list.

So, as you may have noticed, Blanc handled that aerosol/spritz disinfectant gun in the back of his throat like a CHAMP! Right? Also, he lives with Hugh Grant. Funnily, both items are clues that Blanc is gay.

"Protect the Mona lisa though" lolol BTW, if you rewatch this movie, there are clues in plain sight, like first time they really show Mile handed Duke the glass. When they were trying to find Duke's phone, at one point you can see it in Mile's back pocket which definitely is Duke's phone since Mile doesn't have one😉

Don't feel too bad about the Mona Lisa. They very clearly show it burning and it's obviously on canvas (and the real Mona Lisa is painted on wood 🙂 ). My theory is that the French government palmed off a copy on Miles, figuring he'd never know the difference. There are so many fun background details. For example, in the first movie, Blanc asserts that nobody has ever read Gravity's Rainbow. In this one, Serena proves him wrong (that's the book in her hand).

I was lucky enough to see this (first screening no less) the week it was in the pictures and everyone cheered where Hugh Grant came on the screen. The next one is supposedly filming this year.

As long as they keep the quality writing and cast I hope they turn this into a franchise that goes for years, today's cinema is really lacking in the classic Whudunit mysteries that have a bit of cheek and humor thrown in. Also, Craig's wardrobe in this film (at least most of it) is the most tasteful and impressive I've seen from any film character in a long time.

The Among Us group are all people who have written mystery novels on the side (Abdul-Jabrar, Sondheim) or played sleuths on TV (Landsbury, Lyonne).

It's so nice to hear speak kindly of dear Fauci, a man who dedicated his life to curing diseases and saving lives - a man who didn't seek fame or glory or wealth, but rather a safe populace. I don't necessarily want to assume either you OR your dear, sweet - and very lovely, might I add - mother's politics... but from y'all's various comments from various reactions, I can tell you're both very good people. Very decent, and not cruel or heinous. You both seem to have a moral code that seems on the level of my own. Caring, decent, kind people! 👍

Extremely few people are rich from their work alone. Most people are rich because they exploit the working class in various ways. That is a choice they make, not an innate characteristic of theirs, like gender or ethnicity. Also, in this film the rich characters are preeeetty objectively terrible (racist tweets, blackface, betraying a friend for money and clout, using an untested energy source and pushing for it before anyone knows if it's safe forn people or the environment, etc.), I'm not sure why you would be offended on their behalf lol
