Is there a reaspn why you put metalness? Is that usefull in others softwares? Because Arnold wont use metalness without transmission. If you want to do glass in Arnold you juste need the invert of opacity map. So is there a reaspn for the metal? Or it's just to see reflection in Painter? And you turn it off after?

Hi . Each software has its own settings for making materials. Transparency, glossiness, opacity or texture can be controlled in all software, but each in a different way. Definitely, the settings you see here are to show the glass in Substance, and it may be slightly different in other software. And besides, this is a smart material and it is made with the purpose of use in substance . Here, since I wanted shiny and mirror glass, I used metallic. You can see the result by turning it off. It may not be needed in Arnold but I used it here for better display. I hope my answer is complete. 🌺

I your talking about the mesh/model he is using for the tutorial, then you are talking about the sample mesh that substance painter provides in file -open sample - preview sphere
