allllll right, it’s been like 4 months and I still cannot stop coming back to this EP. Even if y’all never see this, I just wanna put it out there that this album singlehandedly contributed more to my pursuit of songwriting than anything else I’ve ever heard. Like no other album has been so consistently my “happy place,” and this shit has legitimately gotten me through both the pandemic and every rough time I’ve had since it begun. I’m drunk so this isn’t coming out perfect, but I hope you know how much catharsis these songs have given me lately, and just how inspired I’ve felt since I discovered your guys’ work. LLGB, you guys have helped me so much in realizing the tangibility of my own dreams, and for that I’m eternally grateful. Much love ❤️

this album paints such a vivid picture of this window of time in j's life. they do a great job of creating a weird sense of nostalgia yet also frantic fear and I really just want to know more about this story. who is the "he" that they lost? who is the "she" that seems to have been a negative part of all of their lives? why does/did j feel so much guilt over the loss of this person? i have so many questions!!

It’s an album about moving on from a breakup. Judging by that you can tell who the “she” is. “He” is j’s old self-the album frames it as if his old self literally died the day of the breakup.
