Really nicely done. Especially for us that have some experience but need to refine techniques like this. I learned a lot. Thanks.

Would you call this Veil Cane or a overlay cane pull? Wouldn't veil cane have a clear center? I am and have always ben a huge fan of your work, but an I misunderstood here? looks like you start with a white color bar center? Just looking for notes from the best. Rock on!

I was just discussing exactly this with a friend. I call this veiled cane with a white core (or filigree core; doesn't have to be white). I also will stuff transparent cups and pull it into cane and consider that veiled cane with a clear core.

@David Patchen. Alright cool. Thanks for the fast response! Is there a reason you are using the enamel instead? Does it not loose its density once blown out? I know this is cane but in your work I see lots of intense white dots in your murrine. I was assuming these dots were duro because they seem to be very dense. Do you use enamel for cane and duro for murrine? Sorry for the long question I am just full of them. Lol.

Quick question...esp since I can’t get to a furnace...how would it turn out if, after marveling the white blank, it was wrapped in black ribbons then clear gather then covered in a yellow transparent wrapped over it all? Then blown out and opened like a platter or something? I can se it in my mind. Thanks, b

This was cane, so everything on the stick was solid. If you're talking about all of this on a bubble, that sounds fun. I think the white layer would make what you're describing too opaque. Maybe if you used a very translucent white.

No, it's solid glass, starting with the solid rod of white.
